How to Make Friends is a Region Quest located in Liones. Specifically, the quest can be found at Werebear Camp, which is a sub-area of Liones.

Pet capturing is first introduced during this quest where you will meet Ashu, who teaches you the basics of capturing pets and asks you to catch your first one.

Assign a Potion of Charm to a Quick Slot

Ashu

Before trying to capture anything, you must first assign a Potion of Charm to a quick slot from your inventory.

This is because you cannot open your bag in the middle of a battle since it will force you out of your inventory every time you take damage, making you unable to capture a pet manually.

Weaken Creature and Throw the Potion of Charm

Capture

To capture a pet, you must first weaken it in combat. Once its health is low enough, throw your assigned Potion of Charm to attempt a capture.

The success rate depends on the type of potion used, with higher-tier potions providing better capture chances.

Before you can spawn a pet, you need to assign one in the Pet Menu. Spawnable pets are categorized into Flight, Ride, and Summon types, and you must equip one for each category if you want to use them in the overworld.

Once a pet is equipped, you can spawn it in the overworld using the corresponding buttons.

Get Ashu's Potion of Charm From the Quest

How to Make Friends Overworld

During the How to Make Friends quest Ashu will provide you with a Potion of Charm for free so you can complete the tutorial capture.

You can retry the capture multiple times using this potion until you successfully catch the quest bird, after which the item will be removed from your inventory.

After completing the quest and capturing the bird, Ashu will inform you that you can craft your own Potions of Charm at a workbench.

While basic versions are easy to make, stronger potions require rarer materials that can be obtained from merchants or gathered through foraging in the overworld.

Radiant Potion of Charm

You can get the Radiant Potion of Charm by drawing from the Demon Sword Lostvayne Exclusive Skin Banner, as it is part of the prize pool. Since it is not craftable, this is the only way to obtain this variant of the potion.

Radiant Portion of Charm has an 80% Capture Chance and is the highest tiered Potion of Charm currently in the game!
