Prepare Potions of Charm
In preparation for capturing, you need to prepare high-leveled Potions of Charm for better chances of capturing the monster. It is recommended to use either Concentrated Potions of Charm or Radiant Potions of Charms for this process.
While Radiant Potions of Charm are the most effective capture items, they cannot be crafted and can only be obtained through the Exclusive Skin Banner. The closest free-to-play alternative would be Concentrated Potions of Charm, which can be crafted at a workbench.
Craft Potions at the Workbench

| 2 Flower Petals of Pure Love | Explore the open world |
Keep in mind that your Workbench has to be at Level 4 to unlock crafting of Concentrated Potion of Charm.
Head to Dragon's Grave and Find a Curious Wild Dragon
Once you have prepared the potions, you can begin heading to the Dragon's Grave and find a Curious Wild Dragon to try and tame. It is recommended to tame a green Curious Wild Dragon over a purple one, as green ones have better chances of being tamed.
Reduce the Dragon's HP
When you have set your sights on a Dragon, you can start lowering its HP by attacking it. The lower the HP, the higher your chances of successfully capturing it. Try to get it as low as you possibly can without defeating the monster entirely.
Use A Potion of Charm on the Weakened Dragon
Once the monster's HP is as low as it can possibly be, you may now use the Potion on the weakened dragon. Keep the dragon within the Potion's circle and activate the capturing effect once the dragon is highlighted in purple. While it is undergoing the capturing process, the monster will freeze in place for a few seconds.
If you are using Concentrated Potions, there is a 20% chance of successfully capturing the dragon. If you are using Radiant Potions, there is a 40% chance of success. If it escapes, you can keep trying again until you successfully capture it.
