King (Staff) is recommended as the DPS in a party of four with three other supports. This takes advantage of his Bloom effect and ensures that the team has high enough damage output. There are many enemies that are weak to Holy, especially during the story. This team comp could potentially get you through most of the story quests.

Elaine (Staff) can be in charge of increasing the team’s Burst Efficiency and durability, Mannie (Staff) can buff the team’s firepower, and Dredrin (Rapier) can use her attacks and skills to maintain constant damage while everyone else is on cooldown.

The downside of this comp is that you have no means of recovering HP during intense fights, but the firepower potential from the abundant buffs is what makes this attractive, so keep that in mind!

In this team comp, the DPS is Diane (Gauntlets), as her Earth attribute can deal more damage, while the rest of the supports can focus on building the team’s strength and durability.

Elaine (Grimoire) and King (Wand) can focus on providing additional firepower and increase the team’s defenses with their buffs, while Griamore (Sword and Shield) can act as a sub-attacker and increase damage resistance against enemies.

While there is also no means to recover HP in this team comp, the buff from Elaine’s Normal Skill is strong enough to keep you and your allies alive.

Best Weapon Type for King

Staff Is Recommended

The Staff is King’s best weapon thanks to Bloom, which increases his attacks by 1% for every stack. With the right skill combination and a max stacked Bloom, King can be a very effective DPS on the team.

King as a Staff User

Increase Damage with Bloom and Full Bloom

Staff-wielding King can increase his damage with Bloom. When Bloom is at max stacks, he then gains Full Bloom, which further increases his attack by 25% and defense by 10%. King can maintain his Bloom buffs by constantly dealing damage to enemies. It’s also good to make use of his Normal Skill to build up Bloom faster.

Combined Attack of Ultimate Move Increases Team's Magic Output

If you use a Combined Attack with King’s Ultimate Move, Shining Blaze, all allied heroes’ Magic Charging Efficiency will be increased for 40 seconds, greatly boosting your team’s damage potential with magic skills.

King as a Grimoire User

Can Apply Mark of the Forest to Increase Damage Against Enemies

As a Grimoire user, King can apply Mark of the Forest to enemies through his attacks and skills, increasing the damage they take by up to 20%. This helps your team increase overall damage output against enemies regardless of attribute.

Ultimate Move Can Grant Shield and Recover HP

With King’s Ultimate Move, Forest’s Protection, you can grant yourself and your allies a Barrier for 20 seconds. This is a great support skill, as it can also restore HP and increase damage by 25% every 2 seconds.

Gain Damage Reduction When HP Is Less Than 30%

Thanks to King’s Passive, Sacred Tree’s Protection, you and all allied heroes take 20% less damage and gain 30% increased Healing Efficiency when HP is at 30% or lower. This makes King a very effective support character if you want to build him around this way with the Grimoire.

King as a Wand User

Increase Damage with Magic Points

King with a Wand can also be an effective support, especially with Earth-type allies. His Passive, Fairy’s Protection, increases all allied Earth heroes’ attack and defenses for every Magic Point gained. The Magic Gauge can be accumulated through normal attacks, making Magic Points relatively easy to maintain.

Use Active Third to Recover During Combat

While his Active Third, Healing Stance, is activated, this restores the Magic Gauge and increases all allied heroes’ defenses for 20 seconds. It is recommended to activate Healing Stance between team skill cooldowns to recover during intense fights.

Increase Earth Damage with Normal Skill

King's Normal Skill, Fairy Power, inflicts damage and grants all allied heroes Forest Fairy for 40 seconds, which increases Earth Damage. This is effective if you have the right combination of Earth-type heroes on your team.
