Elemental Burst can be triggered by applying the same element on an enemy in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin (7DSO). See how to trigger Elemental Burst and their effects in here!
List of Contents

To trigger an Elemental Burst, keep attacking the enemy with the same element until you fill the Burst gauge. You will see the Burst gauge under the enemy's HP, and it fills up with each attack.
Remember that switching to a new element while charging the gauge will restart the process, with the exception of the Holy and Physical elements.
The Burst Gauge will fill faster if you use abilities of the same element. Another option is to use a Tag skill, but make sure you swap to a hero of the same element.
Keep an eye on the heroes icon in the lower right corner to see when to use the Tag skill to dish more damage and fill the burst faster.

After triggering the Earth Burst, you will immediately receive a barrier that prevents incoming damage. Additionally, each attack on a target impacted by the Burst effect increases your damage stacking by up to five times.
When Fire Burst is activated, everyone on your team deals increased damage to the enemy who has been affected by the Burst.
After activating the Lightning Burst, your damage will spread to nearby enemies. This means that even enemies not affected by the Burst effect will take additional damage. This is especially helpful when facing several enemies.
When a Wind Burst is activated, it generates a wind current beneath the affected enemy, dealing continuous damage. Furthermore, the effect will lift them into the air for a brief period of time, making it effective for crowd control.
After activating the Cold Burst, continue to hit the affected enemy with Cold attacks to apply the Chill debuff to them for a maximum of 10 stacks. After 10 stacks, the enemy becomes Frozen; applying damage on them again will break the effect, causing further damage.
Darkness Burst Gauges can't be charged directly. You must first activate another element's Burst, then attack with Darkness to trigger a Darkness Burst.
Enemies affected by the Darkness Burst will have their Darkness defense reduced.
Holy and Physical elements do not have their own Burst Gauges or effects. However, if another element's Burst Gauge is being filled, hitting with Holy or Physical element will contribute to it.

An Elemental Burst is a status effect triggered by continuously attacking enemies with the same element. Activating an Elemental Burst allows you to deliver more damage and trigger effects unique to each element, giving you an advantage in battle.
Since this is an effective tactic not only against enemies you have an elemental advantage over but also against neutral-elemental enemies, you should actively aim to trigger it.

As Elemental Burst may only be activated by attacking with the same element, it is recommended that you establish a team that is somewhat consolidated with the same elements.
Several heroes have skills tied to elemental bursts and elemental attacks, which can result in increased overall firepower, thus keep this in mind when setting up a team.
When we state there is no compatibility between elements, we mean that distinct elements do not react to each other; instead, enemies will be weak or strong against a specific element.
We recommend that you focus on one element as your concept and, to the greatest extent feasible, develop a team of characters from that element.

If the damage indicator shows an arrow up (▲), the element is strong against the opponent, whereas an arrow down (▼) indicates it is weak against them.
