A Fire team that utilizes a Fire Burst with Tristan (Dual Swords) and Tioreh (Grimoire), subsequently overpowering enemies with Slater’s (Greatsword) damage. A further advantage of this Fire team is that it can include Guila (Sword and Shield) as a support unit to offer shields for added comfort.
It not only shines in Burst efficiency but also provides numerous opportunities for enhancing the team’s overall strength, resulting in a formidable setup with minimal weaknesses, and can be used in almost all of the content in the game.

Best Weapon Type for Tristan
Dual Swords Are Recommended for Burst Efficiency
We recommend the Dual Swords weapon type for Tristan, which excels at maximizing Fire Burst efficiency. Not only can he boost Fire Burst efficiency with his Ultimate and Normal attacks, but he can also increase Fire damage and reduce enemy resistance, making him an excellent attacker in Fire-type teams.

Tristan as a Dual Sword User
Improves the Efficiency of Fire Bursts
Tristan (Dual Swords) is a Fire Sub-DPS who can boost the efficiency of Fire Bursts with his Ultimate move. Additionally, while subject to certain conditions, he can further increase the Burst Gauge with his Normal skill, Vertical Slice, making him an indispensable character for effectively utilizing Fire Bursts.
Increases the Fire Damage of the Entire Team
When Fire Bursts are activated, Tristan's passive ability, Sense of Justice, increases the Fire damage dealt by all characters in your team. Combined with the additional damage from the Fire Burst, this significantly boosts the party's overall damage output, making this character exceptionally versatile, capable of excelling not only as a DPS but also as a support.
Decreases Fire Resistance
Tristan's Special Attack can also reduce enemies' Fire resistance, and when combined with the aforementioned increase in Fire damage, it significantly boosts the damage efficiency of Fire teams.
Additionally, landing the Normal Skill, Vertical Slice, on enemies with reduced resistance grants extra Burst Gauge, further contributing to an overall increase in damage.
Tristan as a Greatsword User
Inflicts Ember With Special Attack
Tristan (Greatsword) is a Fire DPS who has a chance to inflict Ember on himself every time he lands a special attack. Each time Ember is applied, it increases the damage of his next Normal Attack or Ultimate move. His primary playstyle is to build up Ember before he uses a Normal Attack or Ultimate Move.
Since his special attack is AoE that remains active until it is reactivated or a certain amount of time has passed, his strength lies not only in applying Embers but also in dealing sustained damage to targeted enemies and inflicting bonus damage to surrounding enemies.
Clear Ember Stacks With Normal Skills and Special Moves
As mentioned earlier, the more Ember stacks you accumulate, the greater the damage dealt by your Normal Attack and Ultimate Move. Since Ember stack resets each time you use a Normal Attack or Ultimate Move, we recommend using the Ultimate Move first before the Normal attack to maximize the stacks.
Excels Even in Critical Teams
One of Tristan (Greatsword)’s strengths is his passive ability, Sense of Justice, which increases his critical hit rate with special attacks. He pairs exceptionally well with characters of the same element, such as Tioreh (Book) and Slater (Axe), creating a powerful synergy through Fire damage and critical damage.
Tristan as a Longsword User
Wind Burst Efficiency With His Ultimate
Tristan (Longsword) is a Wind DPS who can boost his own Wind Burst efficiency with his Ultimate, Blade Storm. Additionally, his Normal Skill allows him to gain extra Burst Gauge, making him a key DPS in Wind-based teams.
Furthermore, his passive skill boosts the entire party’s Wind-element damage whenever Tristan (Longsword) activates a Wind Burst. Because of his abilities, it’s best to position him as a Main DPS to trigger his Burst.
Enhances Damage and Burst Efficiency With Bleed
Tristan (Longsword)'s passive ability allows him to inflict Bleed onto enemies, reducing their healing efficiency and applying a debuff that deals ongoing damage. Following up with the Normal Skill,Wind Thrust, allows you to gain additional Burst Gauge, leading to a further increase in relative firepower.
