Talk to Anton
Thick Book is unlocked by going to the quest marker and interacting with Anton. Just warp to the Fairy King's Forest Pond and walk a few steps northeast to find him.

Investigate Anton's Book on the Tree
Anton will ask for your help in retrieving his book that's stuck in the giant tree towards the northeast of the pond. Climb up the tree and follow the quest marker to locate the book on one of the branches.
Read or Don't Read Anton's Book
Upon finding Anton's book, you'll discover that its title is “Ryanancy's 120 Secrets.” Out of curiosity, Tioreh will ask whether or not she should take a peek. Your choices are either: Read Anton's Book or Don't Read Anton's Book.
Should You Read Anton's Book?
There's no difference whether you decide to read Anton's book or not. You'll still get the same quest completion rewards with either choice, so there's no harm in reading Anton's book.
Talk with Anton at the Forest Pond
Report back to Anton and return the book to him. He'll ask if you looked inside, but it seems that he knows the truth regardless of what you tell him. With the book safely returned, wrap up the conversation to get your rewards.
