Boss Challenges Explained

Comes with Battle Difficulties

Boss Challenge Difficulties
Boss Challenges are special fights that are selectable from the Boss Challenge menu. Each fight has multiple difficulties, with harder difficulties requiring you to beat the previous difficulty first.

Difficulties are similar to the World Level changes for Field and Elite Bosses, in that harder difficulties will increase the challenge for better reward drops.

Unlock Bosses via the Story

Tristan, Tioreh, and Hawk
Some of the bosses under Boss Challenges are also Story Bosses that are encountered during the main questline. Before you'll be able to challenge them, you may need to progress through the story to fight and unlock them first.

Use Keys to Claim Boss Drops

Cost to Claim Rewards ・Keys x10

Claiming rewards costs 10 Keys, which are used to open the nearby cube that appears after the boss has been defeated. As a note, while it says that you will need 10 keys to challenge a boss, they will only get consumed if you choose to open the cube.
