Fractured Plains Vault Guide

Use Rocksplosion
The entrance to the Fractured Plains Vault will be blocked by rocks, and one way to remove them is by using Rocksplosion. However, this won’t clear everything. Use a stone pick to break the remaining rocks.
Once cleared, head inside the path and you should see the vault entrance up ahead.
Proceed through the Right Corridor
Upon entering, the only passable corridor will be on the right, as everything else is locked. Proceed until you reach a fork in the road.
Take the Path on the Right
The next room will be filled with a couple of Vault Guardians and Giant Rats. Defeat them to safely navigate the path on the right. As you advance, take a left, then another left into a path filled with traps.
Navigate the Narrow Pathways
Up ahead on the path will be a Dragonkin Effigy that will impart the knowledge to craft the Paladin Platebody.
Once obtained, head into the right passage before the Dragon Effigy into a new path filled with traps. At the end of this path is a room with a two Vault Guardian Sentinels and two Vault Guardian Hulks that you'll need to dispatch.
Note: There's a Dragonkin Effigy in the lower area of this room that will impart the knowledge to craft the Paladin Helm
Grab the Vault Core on the Top Room
Head up the stairs in the same room to loot the Vault Core from the pedestal, as well as the treasure chest right next to it.
If you didn't aggro the Vault Guardian Hulks earlier, you'll find them patrolling this area and you'll need to defeat them to safely loot the core.
After taking the Vault Core, proceed to the next room on the same floor. Press forward through the trapped corridor and you should reach a large ruined area.
Defeat the Vault Guardian Sentinels
You'll need to use Windstep to jump onto the broken pillars to navigate through this area. However, there are Vault Guardian Sentinels that will shoot projectiles that will knock you out of the air if you come close.
Use Ranged or Magic Attacks to Defeat the Sentinels
It's best to dispatch these sentinels with a bow or magic as the Windstep animation has a long cast time and you may end up getting pushed from the broken pillar by the sentinel's attacks.
Once all sentinels are defeated, use Windstep to make your way to the opposite side of the room.
Windstep up to the Paladin Platelegs and Second Vault Core
Once all sentinels are defeated, use Windstep to make your way to the area on the right side of the room where you can interact with another Dragonkin Effigy that will impart the Paladin Platelegs.
In this area is another hidden area that you can use Windstep to grab a Vault Core from a pedestal.
Pull the Lever to Open the Boss Room
From this area, head back down and enter the room on the left and pull the lever to access the vault's boss room.
The boss room contains a Vault Archon supported by a Vault Guardian Sentinel. Both enemies will attack with powerful ranged attacks and hitting either one will aggro both.
Once defeated, loot the final Vault Core from the pedestal along with the treasure chest inside the room. Also, interact with the Dragonkin Effigy next to the chest to receive the recipe for the Wild Scout's Shortbow.
Attack Both Enemies with Ranged or Magic Attacks
The boss is a ranged enemy which means it won't actively chase after you if you keep your distance.
It's better to kite this boss and take parting shots with ranged or magic to avoid getting overwhelmed by their combined attacks. Only engage the boss with melee attacks to finish them off.
Fractured Plains Vault Rewards
Three Vault Cores
Fractured Plains Vault houses three Vault Cores. You can use these to build a Smithing Anvil or to craft Masterwork Weapons.
Paladin Armor Set
You can find three Dragonkin Effigies within the vault that will impart the knowledge to craft the Paladin Platebody, Paladin Helm, and Paladin Platelegs.
Wild Scout's Shortbow
Interact with the Dragonkin Effigy next to the treasure chest in the final boss room to receive the recipe to the Wild Scout's Shortbow.

Fractured Plains Vault Overview
Fractured Plains Vault Location
The Fractured Plains Vault is a large vault located near the southern part of Fractured Plains within a small cave guarded by Garou. To access the Vault, you'll need to break rocks covering the entrance to the cave.

The Fractured Plains Vault has a lot of traps and Vault Guardians that can deal a lot of damage. We recommend bringing a healthy supply of healing potions, as well as food and clean water before venturing in.
