Bunker spiders, of the genus Theraphosa, are the largest arachnid found in the Thistle Nebula and the second largest ever discovered. It is believed they evolved to prey on large mammals over the course of a measly several hundred years after the boat made its trip around the Thistle Nebula. (Refer to: Speculation on Increased Speciation Around the Fading Nebulae) Bunker spiders produce silk and lay it around their chosen nesting area, then wait for it to be tripped on. They can be seen waiting on walls, often over doorways where prey could enter unaware. If you find a bunker spider unprepared it may freeze as a defensive reaction. In this case they are best left alone. If a bunker spider reacts aggressively, it is best not to fight with oridnary tools. They use their webs to make up for their rather slow movement, so take note of your surroundings. Their webs can be broken easily with any blunt tool. Bunker spiders can pose a great danger to humans and urban explorers especially, without a great benefit to their ecosystems. A resulting kill-on-sight order has been informally agreed upon between many states home to the Bunker spider, and it is currently approved by the ITDA as of 10/6/2497. |
The Bunker Spider is a monster that can spawn Indoors. Do note that the Bunker Spider can be encountered in all of the moons that can be explored in Lethal Company.
The Bunker Spider can be killed with a shovel in 5 Hits. Do note that the Bunker Spider can kill you in Hits, so keep this in mind when you are planning to kill it!
It is recommended to spam the Scanner when exploring Facilities. The Scanner will reveal Snare Fleas hiding on the ceiling, removing their element of surprise.
Additionally, scanning allows you to find your dropped items and use a weapon to remove a Snare Flea from yourself.
Snare Fleas can be tricked to drop without landing on a target.
Getting close to the Snare Flea and quickly retreating afterwards will cause the Snare Flea to drop, giving you a few seconds to attack it.
As Snare Fleas are hostile creatures, keeping a weapon on hand is useful to defend yourself and fellow players.
It is important to note that Radar Boosters also detach Snare Fleas, and make a good combo with weapons.
Snare Fleas also die when brought outside or when latched onto a player's that has been teleported.
Remember this neat trick when a Snare Flea spawns near an Entrance, or when your group has bought a Teleporter.
When a player gets nearby, Snare Fleas drop from the ceiling and latch onto a player's head. Snare Fleas injure players over time and cause reduced vision and a muffled voice.
Snare Fleas can be removed in 1 shovel hit and will die in 3 shovel hits. If a Snare Flea is not removed from a player's head, a player will eventually die.
It is important to note that Snare Fleas behave differently in Single Player.
When playing alone, Snare Fleas will eventually drop from a player's head once the player is Critically Injured.
This monster does not drop any items. |
