Vir colligerus, or colloquially named Coil-heads, have not been studied extensively due to their extreme unpredictability and dangerous properties. They have been known to combust into flames when being dissected or even deactivated, and they carry dangerously high levels of radioactive particles. Due to this and other reasons, it has been highly speculated they were created as biological weapons of war, although this has not been proven. The visual appearance of Coil-heads is that of a bloody mannequin with its head connected by a spring. Their defining behavioral characteristic is to stop when being looked at. However, this does not appear joined to be a hard-and-fast rule. When they encounter a loud or bright light they sometimes appear to enter a long reset mode. Just stare at them or use a stun grenade! - Sigurd |
The Coil-Head (Spring) is a monster that can spawn Indoors. Do note that the Coil-Head (Spring) can be encountered in all of the moons that can be explored in Lethal Company.
Unfortunately, the Coil-Head cannot be killed with a shovel. With this, it is best to avoid it once it spawns in the moon you are currently in!
When exploring an area where a Coil-Head have spawned, it is recommended to have one player to keep watch on a Coil-Head.
Alternatively, players can take turns on keeping watch, while the other attempts to move to a safer location.
Stun Grenades and Radar Boosters can be used to buy time against Coil-Heads. This is especially useful when opening doors when trying to escape.
A Coil-Head can only move when it is not seen by a player. To compensate, Coil-Heads possess one of the highest movement speeds among the monsters.
Victims of Coil-Heads have their heads replaced with springs. It is recommended to communicate with other players when a Coil-Head or a victim has been spotted.
This monster does not drop any items. |
