What are Challenge Moons?

A Weekly Challenge for All Players

Lethal Company - Collecting Scrap for Challenge Moons

Challenge Moons is a game mode where players have one day to collect as much profit as possible. Once you've completed the day, your score will be logged to the leaderboards where you can compare your score with your friends.

Features the Same Moons but With Randomized Elements

This game mode features tweaked versions of the moons and includes various randomized elements such as the moon's name and how much starting credits you have.

There are also increased amounts of scrap on the moon which you can collect to further add to your overall profit. Let us know your Challenge Moon scores in the comments!

Seeds Change Every Week

Lethal Company - Seeds Change Every Week

Challenge Moons uses the same random seed for all players. This levels the playing field and ensures that everyone plays in the same environment while facing the same monsters.

Since the seed changes every week and Update 47 was released on January 8 (UTC), this would mean the game mode will update every Monday.

How to Play Challenge Moons

Hosting a Game

Lethal Company - Hosting a Challenge Moon

For those that want to host a game on a Challenge Moon, you will need to select the moon under File 3 from the Save File list. Since seeds change every week, the name of this moon will change on a weekly basis as well.

Players running a modded client will have to turn off their mods to make sure they get the same moon as other users.

Joining a Game

Lethal Company - Joining a Challenge Moon

For players opting to join a Challenge Moon lobby, they will have to look for a game from the server list marked in purple. Additionally, it will have the word Challenge on the tab to help distinguish the lobby even more.
