You can get Lockpicker by buying from the terminal in you ship for 20 credits. To buy this item, go to the terminal port, press the E button and type in "STORE". From here, type in the name of the item and the desired amount you want to buy.
If you somehow bumped into a locked door during your exploration, you can use a Lockpicker to open these secured doors. Simply place it against the door by pressing the Left Mouse Button (LMB) and give it a couple of seconds to unlock the door for you.
Don't forget to pick up the Lockpicker after, as you may need it again later on.
Lockpickers won't instantly unlock doors, as it will take 30 seconds for them to do their job. So, whenever you encounter locked doors you wish to open, use the Lockpicker immediately!
