Season 3 Sorcerer Leveling Build

This is a Season 3 Sorcerer leveling build that uses Arc Lash and Chain Lightning to stun and clear hordes of enemies in Diablo 4 (D4). Read on to learn all the Gear, Skills, Aspects, and Stones that you will need, and how to play the build to level from 1 to 50 for Season 3 (Version 1.3.0).

This leveling build primarily utilizes Arc Lash and Chain Lightning to eliminate nearby enemies while dealing continuous damage to anyone approaching. Arc Lash serves as the primary source of damage, requiring no Mana to cast and can be improved with Attack Speed affixes. Additionally, you will benefit from the Topaz gem since you will be using your Basic Attack.

With the support of Chain Lightning, you will be able to clear enemies with ease due to its bounce effect. However, at the early levels, it can be challenging to spam due to a limited Mana source.

If you find yourself overwhelmed, Unstable Currents can be used to drastically improve your clear speed due to its massive damage. The build boasts survivability; in addition to stunning enemies, you have access to three Defensive Skills. While these skills offer excellent defensive capabilities, building up your Cooldown Reduction is necessary.

Seneschal Construct Setup

The Seneschal Construct is the new Seasonal Mechanic introduced in Season 3 (Season of Construct). These Constructs can be equipped with Governing Stones, which are support skills they can perform, and Tuning Stones, providing additional effects to the support skill.

The Reconstruct Governing Stones allows your Seneschal Companion to constantly heal you over time during fights. This provides additional survivability while offering Cooldowns and Damage reduction.

Additionally, you can use the Lightning Bolt Governing Stones to stun enemies and gain additional Critical Hit Chance and Attack Speed Bonus.

This build mainly relies on spamming Lightning Skills by maxing Arc Lash and Chain Lightning to spawn Crackling Energy, which can restore Mana due to Invigorating Conduit.

Additionally, you will be stacking Critical Hit Chance with Coursing Currents to further increase the chance to drop Crackling Energy with Static Discharge. You will also have multiple Defensive Skills for additional survivability.

Aspect of the Unbroken Tether (Offensive)	Chain Lightning has a (30-40)% chance to chain 2 additional times.
Elementalist's Aspect (Offensive)	How to Get: Pallid Delve (Dungeon Clear) Core or Mastery Skills cast at or above 100 Mana gain a (20.0-40.0)% increased Critical Strike Chance.
Gravitational Aspect (Offensive)	Ball Lightning orbits around you, but its damage is decreased by (10-20)%.
Rapid Aspect (Offensive)	How to Get: Buried Halls (Dungeon Clear) Basic skills gain (15-30)% Attack Speed.
Recharging Aspect (Resource)	How to Get: Zenith (Dungeon Clear) Each time Chain Lightning bounces off you, gain (XX) Mana.

With this build, you can spam Chain Lightning to maximize the effect of the Recharging Aspect and the Aspect of the Unbroken Tether. This enables you to regenerate your Mana while dealing damage to multiple enemies.

However, if you obtain the Gravitational Aspect, consider replacing Chain Lightning with Ball Lightning and spamming it instead, as it provides more DPS later in the game. Additionally, replace the Recharging Aspect and Aspect of the Unbroken Tether with Prodigy's Aspect and Elementalist's Aspect to sustain your Mana.

Best Stats and Gems

Weapon

You should focus on stacking Core Skill Damage, Basic Skill Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance, and Critical Strike Damage. These stats will significantly enhance the damage output of your Basic Attack and Core Skill, serving as your primary sources of damage.

Armor

To further increase your survivability, prioritize building up Cooldown Reduction, Total Armor, Maximum Life, and Damage Reduction. Your Defensive Skills will enable you to withstand most enemy attacks. However, given their long cooldowns, it's recommended to invest in these stats to prevent one-shot deaths.
