Medeus is a meta-defining defense Mythic that eliminates most weaknesses of a Catria Ball team composition.
【En Garde】 prevents damage outside of combat, notably Bolt Tower and Bolt Trap.
He also carries Canto Control 3 to prevent hit-and-run tactics from heroes like Yuri.

It is currently Fire Season month, and the most expected Fire Legendary heroes are Legendary Lilina and Eitri.
Legendary Lilina pre-charges GIfted Magic to heavily dent her target and then finish them off with her very high Atk stat.
Eitri is a flying hero that has Canto built into her weapon, allowing her to attack over most impassable terrain and retreat to safety.
As for the new Fallen heroes, we anticipate Fallen Rhea and Fallen Muarim to be the most used among all of them during their bonus weeks.
Fallen Rhea is a defensive version of Fallen Edelgard that has very high nuking potential.
Fallen Muarim is a free Grand Hero Battle unit that scores very high for an infantry unit. He also has very high Atk and applies a -6 debuff to all stats on all nearby foes.
Legendary Lilina's Gifted Magic is pre-charged on turn one due to Studied Forblaze.
To counter this, bring Pulse Smoke 3 or Odd or Even Pulse Tie 3 to reset its cooldown.
Eitri's Canto effect is only active on turns 1-4. If you can kite her until after then, she won't have Canto to rely on.
Alternatively, you can attack her in player phase to take advantage of her subpar bulk.
Fallen Rhea is a very strong enemy phase unit, but has an average player phase. Bait her in and defeat her in enemy phase yourself. This also negates the effects of her D/R Near Save 3!
You can also bring armor-effective weapons and/or effects that negate damage reduction such as Deadeye.
Fallen Muarim has a unique transformation mechanic that transforms him on turns 2, 4, and every turn after that. This means he won't be transformed on turns 1 and 3. Attack him while he's not transformed to negate most of the effects of Wild Tiger Fang.
Fallen Rhea and Fallen Muarim are dragon and beast units respectively; Ruptured Sky will deal bonus damage that may knock them out in one hit!
IS has introduced a much-needed skill to nerf Canto in Canto Control 3, found on Medeus' base kit.
This skill neuters Canto effects by reducing the number of post-combat movement spaces to 1 (if melee) and 0 (if ranged).
This skill alone nerfs units that rely on Canto to retreat such as Yuri and Brave Eirika. A hit-and-run strategy using those units is no longer viable if Canto Control 3 is present on the enemy team.
To counter this skill, use a tanking strategy instead. If you must use a team using Canto, defeat the carrier of Canto Control 3 first; doing so will allow your units to retreat using their normal Canto movement even if the carrier of Canto Control 3 was defeated in that same combat.
However, smart players will protect the carrier of Canto Control 3 by using both a Near Save armor and a Far Save armor.

Medeus
[9.5/10] |
Bridal Catria
[9.5/10] |
Medeus is the most recent Mythic hero introduced in FEH, and he's a powerful unit that can be better than Nótt in the right team composition.
His Shadow Breath applies 【En Garde】 to himself and nearby allies, preventing damage outside of combat. Notably, this prevents Bolt Tower's massive damage and protects his team from Bolt Trap damage as well.
He also carries Canto Control 3, and as explained above, this skill protects his team from hit-and-run tactics based on Canto.
Finally, his Assured Rebirth B skill grants him damage reduction based on a Res check and the number of dragon/staff allies on his team.
Players with Ascended Idunn or Fallen Rhea can run double duty by protecting Medeus (and Canto Control 3) with D/R Near Save (or a Far Save skill if running that build) while increasing the damage reduction granted by Assured Rebirth at the same time!
Medeus' kit is perfect for a Catria Ball team, eliminating that composition's main weaknesses (hit and run and splash damage) with one Mythic hero slot. He works much better than Nótt in a Catria Ball team. Nótt, however, is the better Mythic to use in aggressive team compositions like a Cavline due to her Pathfinder effect increasing the threat range of her allies.

Legendary Sigurd
[9.9/10] |
Ninja Corrin (F)
[9.9/10] |
Duma also received a refine to his Fell Breath and a remix skill in Upheaval+.
His refined weapon is good, but Upheaval+ is what will increase his usage rate. The upgrade increases the splash damage from 7 to 10, and now destroys the nearest offensive structure to him instead of requiring Duma to be in the same column.
This new effect gives a higher chance of destroying key offensive structures like Safety Fence and Bolt Tower.
Running a high threat range Cavline team can take advantage of both of these effects by attacking right away on turn one and defeating enemies already weakened by the splash damage.

Fallen Lilith
[9.0/10] |
Yuri
[9.5/10] |
Fallen Lilith is a new hero that helps Galeforce teams sweep opposing teams quickly.
Her Silent Power allows her to warp to any space within 2 spaces of her support partner no matter where they are on the map.
She can easily follow-up her support partner's initiation and set up Wings of Mercy for the team by carrying chip damage skills like Fury.
Running a Near Trace skill like S/D Near Trace 3 also allows her to position herself post-combat to best allow her allies to warp in afterwards. Unfortunately, no Res-based Near Trace skill has been released yet, forcing players to rely on a Def-based Near Trace skill instead.
Silent Power also grants herself and her support partner 【Null Follow-Up】 if Fallen Lilith is within 3 spaces of her support partner.
This is perfect for initiators like Yuri, whose B skill may be occupied by Disarm Trap 3, allowing him to negate effects that deny his follow-up attacks and defeat an enemy in one round of combat.
