You can get Signal Translator by buying from the terminal in you ship for 255 credits. To buy this item, go to the terminal port, press the E button and type in "STORE". From here, type in the name of the item and the desired amount you want to buy.
To use the Signal Translator, simply type ''Transmit'' along with the message you want to send to your fellow players. You can send any message you want, but be mindful of the 10-character limit of this tool.
Having the Signal Translator is a good way to send warnings to anyone outside the ship, especially for players who are inside facilities and may not be aware of nearby monsters.
