Deal Critical Damage When Mining

Critical Mining is a quick-time event (QTE) minigame where weak points will randomly appear after hitting a rock or crystal. These weak points look like shiny cracks which can be easy to spot.

If you hit the weak points, you will deal critical damage. This makes mining faster since a critical hit deals double the damage your pickaxe does, making you do fewer hits on a rock to mine.

How to Land a Critical Hit

Hit the rock until a weak point randomly appears. Make sure your avatar is in front and facing the weak point, then hit the weak point. The weak point will disappear if you don't hit the rock for a few seconds, or when you miss the weak point.
