The Forge Forge Locking System

You can lock RNG categories based on the ore amount via the Forge Locking System in The Forge. See the ore requirements per weapon and armor type to guarantee them in this guide!

Lock RNG Categories to Guarantee Item

Lock a Category for 100 Chance of Getting the Item

The Forge Locking System allows you to lock an RNG category of weapon or armor for a 100% chance of getting the item. Each category of weapon and armor will require a certain amount of ores to lock them.

How to Lock Forge Chances

In the forging screen, hover your cursor to the Forge Chances tab and click on the lock beside the category name to lock it. Locking will require more ores than the minimal ore requirement per category to guarantee the item.

Dagger 3
Straight Sword 9
Gauntlet 14
Mace 14
Katana 18
Axe 18
Great Sword 24
Spear 24
Great Axe 31
Colossal Sword 50

These are the ore requirements for each weapon type to lock their categories when forging. Some types will have the same requirements even in different worlds.
