The Forge How to Hide Armor

Armor will be visibly equipped to your character in The Forge, but it can be toggled on and off at your discretion. See how to hide your equipped armor here!

How to Hide Armor

Go to Equipment Menu

Open Equipment Menu

First, open the Equipment Menu by clicking the inventory menu found at the bottom of the screen. On mobile, players can just tap on the bag icon, while PC players can click on the icon or press the hotkey [T].

Besides the scroll of weapons and armor you can equip is a full showing of your character's appearance, including all the currently equipped items for Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, Weapon and Pickaxe.

Click on Eyes Above Armor Pieces

Click on Eyes to Hide Armor

To hide your armor, click on the eye symbol on top of the square of their equipment slots. Clicking crosses out the eye and hides the armor piece, while clicking again restores its appearance on your character.

Only Helmets, Chestplates and Leggings Can Be Hidden

As of writing, only Helmets, Chestplates and Leggings can have their apperance toggled on and off while currently equipped.

What Does Hiding Armor Do?

Cosmetic Purposes Only

There is no distinct purpose for hiding your character's armor other than for cosmetic purposes. It is up to the player to show off their current equipment, or just show their base appearance instead.
