| Dragonhead Pickaxe | The strongest pickaxe in the game. It offers boosts to mining speed, and a substantial luck boost. Aside from being able to mine everything in the game, this also provides players with fast farming speeds. | |
| Prismatic Pickaxe | Just behind the Dragonhead Pickaxe, the Prismatic Pickaxe is more accessible with one caveat being the slight decline in stats. However, this will be your first endgame pickaxe and will allow you to mine anything. | |

| Mist Pickaxe | Can be bought to speed up farming, but the power for its price makes it recommended to skip. | |
| Magma Pickaxe | A good pickaxe that is only surpassed by the more affordable Arcane Pickaxe in terms of value. | |
| Platinum Pickaxe | Too expensive compared to the Stonewake's Pickaxe in World One. You can skip this and save up for the Cobalt Pickaxe. | |
| Golden Pickaxe | An affordable Pickaxe you can obtain right before the Stonewake Pickaxe. | |

Although it's a bit slow, the Stonewake's Pickaxe is what you want to buy first as soon as you can afford it in World 1. This is a strong and relatively cheap pickaxe that should allow you to farm every ore in World 1, allowing you to save up for World 2 pickaxes.

The Arcane Pickaxe is the next step of progression, as it has superior luck and power stats compared to the Lightite Pickaxe. This also lets you clear world 2 content faster, and can destroy the Icy Pebbles in World 3.
In order to obtain the Arcane Pickaxe, players will have to complete Lost Guitar, the quest given to you by the Bard in World 1.

The Dragon Head Pickaxe is the best pickaxe in the game through stats alone. It has the highest stats among all pickaxes, allowing you to quickly farm endgame rocks to build higher tier armor.

The Goblin Race is the best race to equip for progression. Damage boosts and shop discounts allow players to progress much faster and hit milestones easily.

Your previous pickaxes can be sold to make quick money after reaching the next upgrade. Go to the equipment merchant to sell your pickaxes.
