This is a beginner's guide for all new players of The Forge. Check out the best tips and tricks for beginners, including mining, forging, and more!

Generate Your Race

How to Choose a Race

Talk to Sensei Moro to start the game. You will roll for a random Race for your character. Races provide you bonus stats during your journey.

Each Race has varying amounts of rarity and can be harder to get depending on its Race Chance. You can also Reroll to generate another Race for yourself, although the last Race will be overwritten.

Learn the HUD

The Forge HUD
Menu - Opens up the Roblox menu.
Chat - Opens up chat with other players and other settings.
Settings - Can be opened up to adjust controls and other quality of life changes.
Compass - Shows up icons that lead to places and quest locations.
Quests - Shows the ongoing quests and objectives.
Daily Rewards - Access to rewards that can be claimed daily.
HP Bar - A red-coloured bar that results in game over if empty.
Energy Bar - A blue-coloured bar that gets consumed when doing sprinting or dodging. When empty, you cannot do said actions.
Level - Your account's current level.
Money - The amount of money you have in your game.
Equipped Items - Selectable items that you can equip depending on the situation (mining, combat, exploration, etc.).
Inventory - Opens up your bag to access your Personal Stash. You can access your items, equipment, index, achievements, quests, and the shop here.
EXP Bar - A white bar underneath that levels your character up when full.
Dodge - Consumes energy to perform an evasive dodge and avoid attacks.
Jump - Allows your Character to jump.
Sprint - Allows your Character to move faster. This consumes energy when you're outside of a town.
Shift Lock - When turned on, it locks your character by always facing forward.

Turn on the Shift Lock Switch in the Roblox settings to lock on the camera after pressing the left CTRL.This is best used when up against enemies.

Mine Ore Using Your Pickaxe

Mining Ores

Mining is one of the things you will do frequently in The Forge. Use your Pickaxe to mine Pebbles, Stones, and Boulders.

You can collect Ores from mining, which you can use to forge Weapons and Armor.

Selecting Ores for Forging

Once you've collected Ores, go to the Forge area to create Weapons and Armor. Play through mini-games to melt the ores, pour them into a mold, break the mold, hammer, and cool down the piece down to craft the item.

How to Forge Weapons and Armor

Different Kinds of Weapon and Armor

Type Items
Weapons • Dagger
• Great Sword
• Great Axe
• Katana
• Straight Sword
• Gauntlets
• Collossal Sword
Armor • Helmet
• Chestplate
• Legging

There are different kinds of weapons you can equip and three types of armor you can wear. Each weapon will give you a different fighting style and each armor type has different levels of weight.

Equip or Sell Weapons and Armor

Sell Equipment

After forging your Weapons or Armor, you can equip them to increase your stats or sell them to Marbles the weapons buyer.

Do note that you can only equip one Weapon and wear one type of armor each (one Helmet, one Chestplate, and one Legging).

Complete Quests

Complete Quests

While progressing through the game, you will unlock quests. These quests will grant you rewards, help you progress through the story, and teach you other mechanics in the game.
