Tier List Criteria

Ranking Explanations

Tier Explanation
SS Rank Icon The best of the best in terms of classes. You will have an easier time clearing content and reaching endgame by having these races on your account.
S Rank Icon You will progress quickly by having these races. They are, however, generally outperformed by other classes.
A Rank Icon Still viable with game progression with particular builds. They will require some investment to get a lot more from the races.
B Rank Icon These races can still be used with the correct build, but will generally be outperformed by other classes.
C Rank Icon Outperformed by all classes. Reroll to another race for better progression in the game.

SS Races

Race Explanation
Archangel The best race in the game, as it combines both Angel and Demon abilities. The rarest class available, but is worth getting for its amazing damage, luck boost, and utility.
Angel Amazing race to have for its huge luck boost, mobility, and damage passives. Use Dash as much as possible with this trait to avoid damage.
Goblin The best race for gold efficiency, as it lets you gain discounts to shops, including pickaxes. Keep as a secondary race for its utility to progress through the game faster.
Dwarf Best race for mining, as it increases mining and forging efficiency quite a bit. Aside from this, you will occasionally deal extra damage to rocks, speeding up mining even more.

S Races

Race Explanation
Demon Has one of the highest damage per second (DPS) in the game, thanks to the race's innate physical and fire damage. Aside from this, it also deals a lot of AoE damage around your character and with Hellfire Circles.
Golem The tankiest race in The Forge, allowing you to soak damage from multiple enemies at the expense of less mobility.
Felynx One of the harder classes to master, but has great damage while being more affordable. Utilize dodges to avoid damage and beat enemies with gauntlets.

A Races

Race Explanation
Dragonborn Bruiser-type race with its extra sustain and DPS. Dragonborns gain additional health and height, on top of more physical and burn damage, making it a good DPS option.
Minotaur Minotaurs focus on triggering Rage by reaching less than 50% health to get additional movement speed and physical damage. Furthermore, the race also gives health and size at the expense of less stamina and speed.
Vampire This race is quite good with AFK farming, since it has additional life steal on top of getting a boost from straight swords. Can be used as a secondary race for this particular strategy.
Shadow Has additional evasion, movement speed, and attack speed, making it great at speeding through common enemies. However, it reduces health by quite a bit.

B Races

Race Explanation
Elf Generally decent for its extra luck, stamina, and height. You can have it as a secondary trait to improve getting rarer ores, although it can be generally outclassed by other races.
Orc Decent tank, but trades off mobility for the added sustain. It is essentially outclassed by other races.
Undead High sustain race with its second chance passive, but has a high cooldown. It also reflects incoming damage, but reduces max health.

C Races

Race Explanation
Human Base class that gives luck and experience boosts. Can be okay to use, but it's outclassed by other races.
Zombie Bad race to have due to its huge max health loss. It gives health regen and a chance to convert damage taken to health, but you're better off using other races.
