Best Weapons Tier List (January 2026)

Criteria Explanation
Crafting Cost The amount of ores needed to obtain weapons is a vital part of crafting. If a weapon needs fewer ores to craft, less time is needed to farm for them.
Overall Damage The overall damage your weapon can do will determine how fast you can defeat overworld enemies and bosses.
Ease of Use A weapon’s practicality and ease of application in overworld gameplay will be taken into account.

SS Weapons

Type Explanation
Straight Sword The Straight Sword is the best weapon type overall. Requiring only 6 ores, it is very cheap to craft them. It is also the only weapon type with several desirable variants, namely Chaos, Candy Cane, and Hell Slayer.
Gauntlets Gauntlets have the one of the fastest base attack speeds in the game. It is cheap to craft, requiring only 9 ores. It is also easily accessible since its best variant, Savage Claws, is available in Island 2.

S Weapons

Type Explanation
Spear Though it is a little more expensive to craft, Spears have comparable damage and attack speed to Straight Swords and Gauntlets, but with the unique advantage of high attack range. Its best variant, Angelic Spear scales well into the end game in Island 3.
Colossal Sword Colossal Swords are the most expensive weapon type to craft, but has the highest base damage in the game by far. It synergizes well with the Golem race and can achieve very high damage with decent attack speed when using the Dragon Slayer variant. Additionally, this weapon type can give the rarest variant in the game, Excalibur.

A Weapons

Type Explanation
Katana Katanas offer decent damage and attack speed that can reliably carry you through the early-mid game. However, it offers average overall stats given its crafting requirements.
Great Sword Great Swords are a great early game introduction to heavier weapons. However, it offers little to no advantage past the early game.

B Weapons

Type Explanation
Great Axe Great Axes offer slightly lower stats than the standard Colossal Sword. Its only decent variant, the Wyvern Axe, still does not outperform adjacent weapon types, especially in the end game. There is practically no reason to go for Great Axes since you can craft either Spears or Colossal Swords if you use less or more ores.
Axe Axes offers damage close to Gauntlets, but with slightly lower attack speed. However, there is almost no point in purposefully crafting Axes because Gauntlets are cheaper to craft.

C Weapons

Type Explanation
Mace Maces are available only in Island 3, but offer no clear advanage in the end game compared to its cheaper alternative, Straight Swords.
Dagger Daggers are used as an introduction to the game's crafting and combat system. However, you will almost immediately replace them with something better once you farm a few ores.
