How to Equip Orbs Suikoden 2

Equipping Orbs can be done by talking to a Runemaster at Rune Shops in Suikoden 2 HD Remaster. This guide covers how to equip and unequip Orbs, their various advantages, and more!

Can Be Equipped at the Rune Shop

Orbs can be equipped at Rune Shops, where the respective Runes within the Orbs will be attached to your characters by a Rune Master.

Talk to the Rune Master and select the "Attach" option. This will let you equip an Orb to a character. Please note that your characters cannot equip the orb itself, but only the Rune inside it.

Remove Runes at Rune Shops

Remove Runes at Rune Shops
To remove a character's attached Rune, talk to the Rune Master, and select "Remove". The Rune will be returned in the form of an Orb to the character that equipped it.

Character-Specific Runes Cannot be Removed

The Hero's Bright Shield Rune and similar unique runes belonging to certain characters are character-exclusive and cannot be removed.

If those runes occupy one of a character's rune slots, they cannot have a different rune equipped.

Some Non Character-exclusive Runes Cannot be Removed

Characters Character-Specific Rune
Camus Rage Rune
Viki Blinking Rune
Mazus Pale Gate Rune
Miklotov Knight Rune
Tuta Medicine Rune
Rulodia Flowing Rune

There are certain Runes that are equipped to particular characters and cannot be removed, even though they are not character-exclusive Runes. These runes will permanently occupy that character's rune slot.

Gain Access to Runes and Their Special Abilities
Orbs contain Runes that give characters the ability to use various magical spells.

For example, having a Rune Master attach a Water Orb to a character gives them a Water Rune, which allows them to use special healing abilities.
