Suikoden 2 - Great Blessing

Pest Rat can attack twice per turn, dealing substantial damage to your party. Use the Bright Shield Rune’s Great Blessing from Hero to heal the entire party and recover from these attacks.

The boss's single-target attacks are also particularly strong, so have someone equip the Water Rune to heal any severely injured party members.

Use Protection Mist for Defense

Suikoden 2 - Protection Mist

Pest Rat’s attacks are primarily Magic-based. Equip one of your allies with a Water Rune and use the Protection Mist to put up a defense. This scroll provides a 20% chance to repel the boss's magic attacks for three turns, offering critical protection during the battle.

Take Advantage of Oulan’s Berserk State with the Angry Dragon Rune

When Oulan enters the Berserk state, use the Angry Dragon Rune to inflict double damage on Pest Rat. This powerful attack can be repeated for as long as she remains in the Berserk state.

You can also pair this with Hero's Battle Oath spell, which inflicts Berserk on all allies, further boosting your party's offensive capabilities.
