Make Viktor Do the First Attack on Neclord

Suikoden 2 - Neclord Viktor Attacks First

If you have any of your characters other than Viktor attack Neclord, their attacks will have no effect on him. So have Viktor do his normal attack first. Once he does, Neclord will become vulnerable and you can start using your other characters to defeat them.

Keep Using Magic Attacks Against Him

Suikoden 2 - Neclord Magic Attacks

Neclord is a challenging boss who can attack twice per round, dealing significant damage to your party. However, his weakness to Holy makes him vulnerable to Magic attacks. After Vikor attacks, unleash all of the most powerful Magic you have at your disposal.

Heal Everyone with Great Blessing

Suikoden 2 - Neclord Heal Party

Neclord’s high-powered magic attacks, including a lightning strike that damages your entire party, can be devastating. Use the Bright Shield Rune’s Great Blessing to heal everyone and recover from his area-of-effect attacks.

Protect Female Party Members

Suikoden 2 - Neclord Attacks Women

When Neclord transforms into a bat, he targets one of the women in your party for his attacks. Make sure you have a Water Rune equipped to heal any severely injured party members, particularly the women.

Equip a Support with a Resurrection Rune

Suikoden 2 - Neclord Resurrection

Neclord's Beam Attack has a 70% chance of causing its target Instant Death. It's recommended to put someone, speicifically Kahn, in the support role by having them equipped with both the Resurrection Rune and Water Rune. This combination allows them to heal allies effectively and even revive them if necessary.

Open with Viktor's normal attack, then start using Holy magic against him. Heal or revive characters as needed, and make sure to protect your female characters whenever he turns into a large bat.
