Action Commands Explained

Lets You Deal and Prevent Damage More Effectively

Action Commands work as timing challenges that let you prevent or deal more damage in battle. They can also earn Star Power.

You will have to input button presses at certain timings, move the control stick in different directions, mash buttons, all within a timing window that will increase the damage you deal or decrease the damage you take.

Use with Stylish Moves

Action Commands can work in tandem with Stylish Moves to earn even more Star Power!

Stylish Moves are executed with properly timed button presses, which varies depending on which move is being performed.
