This is the Side Quest Walkthrough for UFO and Pupu in the game Final Fantasy VIII (FF8, FFVII). Read on for more information about objectives, items, and bosses within this section.

| 1 | Spot the UFO near Winhill |
| 2 | Find it again at Mandy Beach. Mandy Beach is located Northeast of Timber. |
| 3 | Next, it can be found in the Heath Peninsula. East from Trabia, use Ragnarok and land on the small island. |
| 4 | Spot it again in the Kashkabald Desert. This huge desert is found west of Centra. |
| 5 | Land on the mountains of Grandidi Forest to spot it once more. |
| 6 | Head to Balamb Crater for the final UFO encounter to trade 5 Elixers for a Pupu Card. |
Note: The UFO and Pupu Side quest can be completed much easier with the No Encounter ability, so do so and save a lot of time.
The first Sighting of the UFO. Just take a stroll outside of Winhill.
Head to Timber then proceed to the northeastern beach. Keep walking until you encounter the UFO for the 2nd time.
Use the Ragnarok and head to Trabia. From there, fly east until you see a detached small island. Land there to meet the UFO for the 3rd time.
Fly to Edea's House, then head west until you see a huge desert. Roam there for the 4th UFO encounter.
After the fourth UFO sighting, head to the mountains of Grandidi near the Chocobo Sanctuary to see the UFO. Destroy it.
You will encounter Pupu in the Balamb crater asking for Elixirs. Give Pupu 5 Elixirs to get the Pupu Card. This is the rarest card in the game.
