Command Abilities

This page lists all the Command Abilities from the game Final Fantasy VIII Remastered (FFVIII, FF8). These Abilities are used to add special commands to your characters when they engage in battle.

Command Abilities

Ability Name Effect
Magic Cast magic
Draw Draw magic
GF Summons Guardian Force
Item Use item
Card Turn monsters into cards
Doom Use Doom on one enemy
Mad Rush Use Haste, Berserk, Protect on all
Darkside Expend HP to attack
Devour Devour monsters (will OHKO an enemy and cause effects to the user which can be good or bad)
Kamikaze Damage one enemy before getting KO'd
MiniMog Call MiniMog (which will restore GF HP)
Defend Reduce damage until next command
Recover Restore HP
Absorb Absorb HP
Treatment Remove abnormal status
Revive Remove KO (revives a fallen ally and restores HP)
LV Down Lower monster level
LV Up Raise monster level
