How to Get Sword of the Hero: Stats and Effects

Sword of the Hero is a One-Handed Weapon that Link can use in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). Read on to learn how to get Sword of the Hero, its general locations, stats, bonus attributes, and the effects of this weapon.

How to Get Sword of the Hero

Chest in Dalite Grove, Hyrule Ridge Depths Scan the 8-bit Link amiibo Exchange Poes to Bargainer Statues in the Depths

Go to Dalite Grove, Hyrule Ridge Depths

Jump down the Great Plateau West Chasm and go a bit Northwest specifically at coordinates: -2044, -1129, -0546 to get to Dalite Grove. Make sure to activate the Lightroots on the way.

If you have the Muzasu Lightroot on your map, you can also fast travel to that so you are closer to Dalite Grove. This lightroot is located specifically at -2137, -0874, -0542. Use the Usazum Shrine as an indicator as it is directly above this lightroot.

On Dalite Grove, there will be a lot of trees and some of them are Evermeans so be careful as you go through the grove. Go to the giant tree hollow which will have an Evermean and a chest containing the Sword of the Hero.

Obtained by Scanning the 8-bit Link amiibo

You can randomly obtain the Sword of the Hero through scanning the 8-bit Link amiibo. This lets you unlock the weapon instead of finding it within the map.

How to Scan an amiibo

Scan an amiibo by making sure amiibo scanning is enabled in the Options Menu. Then, press and hold the L button, select the amiibo icon in the Tool Wheel, and tap your amiibo on the NFC Touchpoint of your controller.

Exchange 100 Poes to Bargainer Statues in the Depths

The Sword of the Hero will be available at any Bargainer Statues in the Depths for 100 Poes once you've received the weapon after getting the sword from Dalite Grove or by scanning the amiibo.

You need to have interacted with at least one Bargainer Statue in the Depths for it to be available. The Bargainer Statue is unavailable for exchange at the Lookout Landing's statue.

Having the option to buy another copy of this weapon is extremely helpful especially since weapons in Tears of the Kingdom have weapon durability and can break.
