Picking up the three invasive tracks will highlight the Invasive Yian Garuga's powerful legs. After attacking it to make it behave strangely, aim for its legs by using slash type attacks. Eventually you will interrupt the monster's big attack and retreat.

Before the fight, Rudy will instruct you to collect the three shining spots around the area to give you hints about how to defeat the Invasive Monster. Make sure to be wary of the Invasive Yian Garuga's path as it can spot you and interrupt you from picking up an Invasive Tack.

Players will encounter the Invasive Yian Garuga during the main quest, The Princess of Vermeil. Specifically it is a little bit after Eleanor joins the rangers and sets off around Azuria with them. It serves as an introductory quest for defeating Invasive Monsters and habitat restoration.

The Yian Garuga will be in the eastern area of Azuria, amongst a rocky clearing where players need to head to to progress the main quest.
As the first invasive species encountered during the game, the battle serves as a tutorial for how defeating Invasive Species allows the protagonist to retrieve endangered Monstie eggs. In this case, defeating the Invasive Yian Garuga unlocks the cave for the Rathian egg which the rangers release back into the wild.
