The death of Orobashi triggered the dispersal of Tatarigami. This caused sickness and widespread plague for the people in Yashiori Island.

Orobashi was slain by Ei, who cut the Yashiori Island in half after using the Musou no Hitotachi. This resulted in residual Balethunder, and the appearance of the curse of Orobashi.
