Cannon Challenge Guide

Sail on the Waverider Boat

During the event, you will have to summon and sail the Waverider to different challenge locations. Main Cannons, Make Ready... Fire! challenges begin as soon as you enter the Hilichurl Encampment area.
How to Summon the Waverider

How to use Waverider Dash

The Waverider dash replaces normal dashing. Dashing on the Waverider also consumes stamina, so use it wisely when sailing around!

How to use Waverider Cannons

The Waverider Cannon allows you to deal damage to Encampments and Hilichurls themselves! There are two types of Waverider Cannon attacks that replace your skills:

Swiftstrike Cannon	• A light attack with a 0.10s CD • Can DMG Light Floating Towers • No DMG to Heavy Floating Towers
Heavy Cannon	• A strong attack with 15s CD • Can destroy Violent Wind Barriers • No DMG to Heavy Floating Towers

Collect Pithy Pearls

Orb	Orb Effects
Pithy Pearls	• Decreases Heavy Cannon CD

Since the Heavy Cannon has a long cooldown, collect as many Pithy Pearls as you can to use Heavy Cannon as quickly as possible.

Clear Hilichurl Encampments

The objective of this challenge is to clear Hilichurl Encampments throughout Dodo Land. You can use your Waverider skills to take some of the enemy structures down, but there will be times you have to battle enemies on foot!

Throw enemies into the water

One of the easiest ways to defeat enemies is to use Anemo skills to throw them into the water. This will instantly defeat enemies and help you clear challenges faster!

Use Shielded Characters

Protect yourself with shields

Use characters that can generate shields to avoid taking damage or being knocked back into the water.

Floating Towers

Types of Floating Towers
Light Floating Tower	Heavy Floating Tower

Light Floating Towers are enemy structures you can destroy with your Waverider Cannons. Heavy Floating Towers cannot be destroyed, so you will need to get off the Waverider and climb these towers to defeat three waves of enemies on-foot.

How to climb Heavy Floating Towers

If the automatic ejection from the Waverider isn't enough to get you on top of a Heavy Floating Tower, use the Wind Currents around you to go higher. Glide to the Heavy Floating Towers to defeat the enemies.

Violent Wind Barriers

Some Towers are protected by Violent Wind Barriers, shielding them from taking direct damage. You will need to destroy the barrier before you defeat the enemies on the tower.

How to destroy Violent Wind Barriers

Either use your Waverider's Heavy Cannon or shoot exploding barrels to destroy the Violent Wind Barriers.

Whirlpools

Whirlpools suck in Waveriders and deal continuous damage if not careful. Too much damage to the Waverider will destroy it, leaving you to continue the challenge without a boat.

How to get out of Whirlpools

Use your Waverider Dash to quickly get out of Whirlpools and keep your Waverider safe!
