The Heart of the Titan Overview

The Heart of the Titan
Location Isana Negat
Unlock Requirements Obtained after completeing the Fire and Ice main quest and speaking to Harding in the Lighthouse.
Rewards ・Plate of the Paragon Unyielding (Uncommon Heavy Armor)
・Increased Bond with Harding and other companion
Description
Harding must once again return to the Deep Roads to rescue newfound friends and confront the sinister force haunting her.

Major Quest Objectives


Travel to Isana Negat

Isana Negat in the Anderfels
Upon acquiring this quest, Isana Negat will be available to fast travel to in the world map. It is located at the southwest or bottom left of Northern Thedas, in the Anderfels.

Head to the Deep Roads

Deep Roads Entrance - The Heart of the Titan
Speak to Harding on your arrival, who is investigating a camp. Continue south down the stairs and through the door, and turn right for the Deep Roads entrance. Use Harding's magic on the slabs to start the descent into the Deep Roads.

Find the Missing Dwarves

Deep Grotto Start
At the bottom of your descent will be the Deep Grotto, with hostile undead standing around. Defeat the undead and continue forward, using Harding's magic to open any blocked pathways.

Free the First Dwarf

First Dwarf to Free
Past the first stone slab will be a red rock, interact with it to free the dwarf trapped inside, and speak to them before continuing.

Head Deeper Into the Deep Roads

Lyrium Cavern
Turn left from the freed dwarf and head further into the deep roads. Once you reach the Lyrium Cavern, go towards the ancient mining operation ahead.

Search the Mine for the Second Dwarf

Shoot the Lock
You will come across a locked ladder in the mining operation. Destroy the lock to climb up and continue forward.

Keep following the quest path, and eventually you must slide down towards an area with demons. Defeat the demons and free the second dwarf in the same room.

Search the Old Shafts for the Third Dwarf

Third Dwarf to Free
Head past the second dwarf and go into the Old Shafts. There will be more demons and undead at the beginning of the area, defeat them and continue to the third dwarf nearby.

Free Stalgard

Free Stalgard Conversation
Continue the path to the Cavity area and defeat the Rage Demon and all other enemies. Stalgard is the last dwarf trapped in red lyrium, release him from it and speak to him.

Confront the Titan's Shade

The Heart
After speaking to Stalgard, head to the Heart and go right underneath it, where Harding will confront the Titans' shade in a cutscene.

After the cutscene, you and your other companion will have to fight demons and another Wrath of the Stone miniboss. Harding will not be a part of this fight.

Defeat all the enemies and another cutscene will follow.

Honor the Titans' Anger Choice

Remember Yourself or Honor the Titans

Decision
Harding: And now the world will remember!
Choice Consequence
Remember who you are. You convinced Harding that the Titans' rage cannot overcome her true heart.
Honor the Titans' anger. You convinced Harding to honor and embrace the Titans' anger.

This choice is permanent, and affects Harding's story trajectory and the Hero of the Veilguard armor and skill rewards.
Should Harding Honor the Titans' Anger?

Collect and Return

Harding at the Lighthouse - The Heart of the Titan
After making the decision, a chest will be nearby Harding. After looting the chest, speak to Harding to return back to the Lighthouse, where you and her will have another conversation.

Hero of the Veilguard

Hero of the Veilguard
After completing this quest, Harding will achieve Hero of the Veilguard status, which affects the game's endings and future quest outcomes.

You will also receive Harding's unique Veilguard skill and Hero Armor.

Honor the Titans' anger The Stone's Vengeance
・Harding's Weapon attacks are occasionally replaced with Titan Stones.
・Titan Stones deal 20% increased damage and now apply Bleeding.
Titan's Vengeance
・Detonations also apply Bleeding
・Detonations deal +25% Physical damage vs. enemies that are already Bleeding
Remember who you are Heart of the Titan
・Soothing Potion's cooldown duration is reduced by -15%.
・Harding's Detonation damage is increased by 25%. You and your other companions gain bonus 20% damage and 15% cooldown reduction.
Inquisition Spotter
・All Detonations are more likely to disrupt affected enemies
・This chance for disruption applies to all enemies near a Detonation
