How to Concoct Potions

Use the Alchemy Cauldron

To concoct potions, go to the Alchemy Cauldron, and start placing ingredients. The ingredients you selected will determine the Efficacies and Characteristics of your potion, so make sure to read the Market News first to see what type of Potion you should make.

Reach a Tuning Rate of 100% and Up

Before you're able to concoct a potion, you'll have to reach at least 100% Tuning Rate with your crafting. We strongly suggest to go for higher Tuning Rate, however, as this directly increases the level of your Potion. Higher level means higher retail price!

Stack Ingredients to Maximize Grid Space

If you find it hard to fit ingredients within the square areas of the grid, remember that you can stack ingredients by simply overlapping them together. We recommend to scrimp on stacking however, as you only have limited slots per Alchemy Cauldron level!

Target Specific Efficacies and Characteristics

To make the most out of your crafting chance, make sure to target Efficacies and Characteristics that are only determined by your Market News. Not only does this increase your revenue for each cycle, this also helps you control the Alchemy Cauldron when crafting!

Keep in mind, however, that you do not need to make a Potion that displays all of the demands from the Market News! Simply crafting, and selling potions that have at least one of each Efficacy and Characteristics can increase your revenue, big time!

Use a Top-Down Approach with Crafting

To easily craft any Expert Level Potion, make sure to place all purple ingredients first, until you reach an initial Expert level rating. Then, gradually replace each one-by-one, depending on the efficacy and characteristic you need.

This approach gives you a clearer understanding of what ingredients you need (and don't), plus, it gives you a better view of how to arrange the purple ingredients first to give way to the lower-grade ones!

Take Advantage of Combination Potions

Combination Potions are a specialized type of Potions that have two types of efficacies. You can concoct Combination Potions by using at least 2 ingredients, each from two different Efficacy types, regardless of what ingredients you use.

The two highest ingredients will determine the final Efficacy of your Combination Potion, which means you can control the type of potion you'll yield, so long as you selectively increase the usage of the ingredients you have.

Read the Market News

To cater to your customers' needs, make sure to read the current cycle's Market News, to efficiently and effectively concoct potions that will guarantee to sell more.

Market News have emboldened yellow keywords which indicate what type of Efficacy and Characteristics your Potions must have before selling them! You'll only have one chance to concoct per cycle, so make sure to the most out of it!

Enhance Your Potions

Another way to increase your Revenue for the current cycle is to enhance your Potions using your Alchemical Cauldron. Upgraded potions sell higher, which means you'll gain more revenue the higher their ratings are!

You can also further Upgrade your existing potions, and enhance their current rank by increasing the level of your ingredients!

Upgrade Your Alchemical Efficiency

Boost your Potions further through the Operation Bonuses by talking to Freda! Upgrading your Alchemical Efficiency yields higher quality Potions, increases the max Potion Characteristic count, and provides higher chances of getting a Lucky Bonus!

Perform Quick Concoctions

On Day 3 of Alchemical Ascension, the Quick Concoction feature will get unlocked, which lets you automatically place all the ingredients in the cauldron of a previously crafted potion.

This is a helpful feature if you want to tweak a lower-grade Potion to transform it to a higher-grade one, or proactively change a potion's Characteristics!

Unlimited Crafting on Day 3!

Once you've unlocked Day 3 of Alchemical Ascension, you'd be able to craft unlimited number of Potions per cycle! This means being able to experiment more on Potion Recipes, and earning more revenue!

Just don't forget to Analyze Ingredients to max their level for maximum yield!
