Roster | ||
---|---|---|
Super Buu | Cell 2nd Form | Dr. Gero |
A hyper defensive team that can go on the offensive by transformation with strong defensive starting abilities. Both the androids starts with draining abilities (Dr. Gero's super as well as his grab can drain while Cell can drain using his grabs as well as his Drain Life super). Super Buu is already a decent character as is and he comes with the Regeneration skill that can restore 1 full HP bar for 4 skill points.
Additionally, Both Cell and Super Buu can transform to Perfect Cell and Gotenks Absorbed respectively which greatly amps their combat capability. Lastly, Gotenks Absorbed form can keep on using Regeneration as well as get access to Galactic Donut Valley which has insane tracking that can almost guarantee a hit everytime you use this grab-esque super.

Trunks (Sword) | Android 19 |
Vegeta (Z - Scouter) | Pan (GT) |
A low DP cost team. Trunks (Sword) is one of the best 4 DP characters you can use, he has decent stats and an unblockable super to boot. Android 19 is in the same boat as Dr. Gero and can be freely swapped with him as another low cost drain android to slow down fights/annoy people with ki/HP drains.
Vegeta's Z - Scouter is another great option to deal with players thanks to its high damage output when in Great Ape Vegeta form. Lastly, Pan can easily be traded with other 3 cost characters but is a decent 3 DP fighter in itself.

---|---|---|
Gogeta (GT) Super Saiyan 4 | Videl | Krillin |
A Gogeta-centric team that sacrifices most of your DP points to include one of the best characters in your team. Videl is a cheap character for the performance she can do (decent combos and damage). Krillin is in the same boat with the ability to use Solar Flare to apply the blindness debuff which you can swap back to Gogeta for better openings.
Roster | ||
---|---|---|
Zamasu | Goku Black | |
Captain Ginyu | Mr. Satan |
Zamasu is a defensive unit that can heal itself while Goku Black is your offensive-focused unit. While Goku Black is in his base form, he's extremely weak but thanks to only requiring 1 skill point, you'll be immediately able to switch to his Rose form to keep the damage rolling.
For the rest of the team members, you're actually left with 5 DP to spare as these characters are not mandatory but we added Captain Ginyu for the ability for gimmicks against players running high DP characters like Gogeta but overall, can be swapped with any character of your liking.
Roster | ||
---|---|---|
Broly (Z) | Kale | Broly (Super) |
Seemingly a joke roster, this trio of Legendary Saiyans can actually work despite the greey lineup as all of these characters can transform to their Legendary Saiyan forms which normally costs 9 DP each. However, the struggle is getting the skill points required to reach the transformation so you can change a character to start in Super Saiyan form and replace 1 with Yajirobe or Videl for a more balanced line-up.
Aside from our best team recommendation, there are clear characters that are able to perform way better than other characters with the same DP value as the other characters in the roster.
Here we list down some of the best characters you can include or add to your team with their respective DP costs.
Overview | |||
---|---|---|---|
Yajirobe | HP | ||
Attack | 2 | ||
Special | 2.3 | ||
Combo | 4.1 | ||
Ki | 1 | ||
DP Cost | 2 | Fusion | None |
Skills and Ultimate | |||
Skill 1 | Super Unyielding Spirit | ||
Skill 2 | Senzu Beans | ||
Blast 1 | Ka-Blam Attack | ||
Blast 2 | Flash and Kill | ||
Ultimate | Miracle Ka-Blam Slash |
Yajirobe was one of the best characters relative to his DP costs in Sparking Zero which is also the primary reason why he was the first character to be hit with a targeted nerf during the game's first patch. For a relatively low DP cost of 2, you have a character that can fully heal himself to full which makes him almost an immortal character if played right.

---|---|---|---|
Vegeta (Z - Scouter) | HP | 3 | |
Attack | 3.1 | ||
Special | 2.5 | ||
Combo | 3.2 | ||
Ki | 3.5 | ||
DP Cost | 4 | Fusion | None |
Skills and Ultimate | |||
Skill 1 | Explosive Wave | ||
Skill 2 | Saiyan Spirit | ||
Blast 1 | Galick Gun | ||
Blast 2 | Final Galick Gun | ||
Ultimate | Dirty Fireworks |
Vegeta's Z-Scouter version is also a lower cost character that you can potentially include in your roster if you're looking for a good 4 DP character. The real perk of picking Vegeta's Z-Scouter version is his ability to transform to Great Ape Vegeta which is 1 DP cost higher and can be a great option against non-experienced players.

Ultimate | Drain Life 19 |
The two drain type androids (aside from Cell) that have very similar playstyles. These two characters cannot charge their own ki but for the higher tradeoff with being able to drain the enemy's ki and HP. These characters are difficult to play against due to their grab-centric playstyle that can allow you to easily win drawn out fights.
