Z Counter
|
To do a Z Counter, you will need to press the guard button (L1) just before an opponent is about to do a smash attack or follow up attack on you. This requires good timing so practicing this in offline matches with the opponent set to "Smash Attacks & Follow-Ups" would be very helpful in maintaining consistency.
In addition to follow up attacks, Z Counters themselves can also be countered.
Z Counter is an advanced defensive move where you can teleport behind your opponent when timing your block at the right moment. You and your opponent can also keep trading Z Counters until one of you is completely depleted of Ki or messes up the timing.
