Dragon Ball Sparking Zero - How to Grab Banner

Grabbing is a close-rage offensive technique in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero that breaks through an enemy's Guard and Perceptions. Learn how to perform and counter Grabs, as well as additional tips below.

Grab Controls
Throw
DB Sparking Zero - PS5 Controls R1 + DB Sparking Zero - PS5 Controls Square
Grab's the enemy and sends them flying.
Throw into Vanishing Attack
DB Sparking Zero - PS5 Controls Triangle (After a successful Grab)
Performs a Vanishing Attack after sending the opponent flying.
Throw into Dragon Homing
DB Sparking Zero - PS5 Controls X (After a successful Grab)
Dragon Dashes towards the flying enemy, allowing for a Dragon or Burst Smash.
Throw into Lightning Attack
DB Sparking Zero - PS5 Controls Circle (After a successful Grab)
Teleports above the enemy after a grab and slams them into the ground.

Hold Guard Then Tap the Attack Button

Grabs are useful against defensive opponents, as they can bypass Guard and Perception. Initiate a Grab by holding the Guard Button and pressing the Attack Button.

A Follow Up Attack Can Be Used After

After a Grab, the opponent is often sent flying, allowing you to choose follow-up attacks like Vanishing or Lightning Attacks, or pursue them for a Dragon or Burst Smash.

DB Sparking Zero - PS5 Controls R1 (Right after getting grabbed)
Escapes from the enemy's grab.

Press the Guard Button at the Start of the Grab

To counter a Grab, press the Guard Button in the brief moment the opponent grabs you, which resets the fight to neutral.

Can be Done While in Perception

While holding the Perception Button, you can continuously press the Guard Button to evade a Grab and still be ready to counter Rush Attacks.
