Unseal The Path to Pale Relfections

Head to Solitude's Edge

This is another quest that you encounter as you explore more of the Crossroads. This time, you need to claim the champion essense of Amarell The Unwoven.

To find the champion, return to the Hossberg Wetlands and head for Solitude's Edge, Northwest of the map.

Defeat Amarell The Unwoven

Once at Solitude's Edge, you should see a large Blight Cyst somewhere near the egde of the area. We recommend clearing smaller enemies first so that all of your focus goes to the Amarell fight.

Amarell has the base moveset of an Ogre, while sharing the same bonus abilities and weakness as the Disciple In-Ichor. Watch out for the unblockable AoE he will regularly cast and bring your best Fire gear and companions.

Unlock the Gate of Parched Hopes

Fast travel to the Heights of Athim in the Crossroads and use the Champion Essence to unseal the Gate of Pale Reflections. Climb up the heights and use the zipline to arrive at the gate.

Defeat The Fall of the Protector

Enter the cavern to encounter the hidden boss, Fall of the Protector. Defeat the Undead Horde for the boss to enter the fray, and use ranged attacks and Necrotic damage to deplete its barrier and exploit its weakness.

After defeating the boss, collect its Revenant Essence to progress The Heart of Corruption side quest. Exit west to find a Timelost Hoard containing the Arainai's Talon unique longsword.
