Let's Play a Game is a Side Quest that can be started in Eastern Hyrule Field in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (EoW). Learn more about how to unlock the Let's Play a Game side quest, as well as its walkthrough, rewards, and tips on how to beat Smog.
List of Contents
A man called Sago is blocking the doorway of the Eastern Temple. Talk to him to start the quest.
The Let's Play a Game quest should be immediately available after completing the first dungeon.
How to Complete | |
---|---|
1 | Enter the Eastern Temple, and defeat the Sparks to get the Spark Echo. It's recommended to place a Sea Urchin Echo along their path or use any ranged attacker to defeat these enemies. |
2 | Go to the next room. Here, you'll need to place three Sparks into the yellow block in the upper left corner. You can move the boulder using Bind in order to guide the Sparks to the outer wall, or you can shoot Spark Echoes into the yellow block. |
3 | In the next room, move the boulder on the upper right, and guide the two Sparks towards the ramp on top, so that they can enter the yellow block. Make sure they're travelling counter-clockwise to be able to use the ramp. You can also just shoot Spark Echoes into the yellow block. |
4 | Go to the room on the right. Shoot two Spark Echoes towards the wall on the right side, and wait for them to enter the yellow block. If the Octoroks break a box connected to the wall, move one of the other boxes then try again. If successful, a chest containing 50 Rupees should appear. |
5 | Go left twice. Use Bind to drag the treasure chest into the gap to safely dislodge the Sparks, and open it for 5 portions of rock salt. |
6 | Go down the ladder. You can choose to either defeat the Sparks to cross using the upper platform or defeat the Caromadillo below and cross using the lower platform. |
7 | Avoid or defeat the Sparks as you swim through. Open the treasure chest for 50 Rupees. |
8 | In the next room, make preparations to face the boss of this temple. When you're ready, face Smog in the following room. ▶ How to Beat Smog |
9 | Make sure to pick up the Heart Piece after defeating Smog. Then, return to Sago outside to finish the quest and get your reward. |
How to Beat Smog | |
---|---|
1 | Use ranged attacks such as the Octorok Echo and the Swordfighter form's bow, or place the Sea Urchin Echo along Smog's path. Make sure to avoid Smog's the electric attacks. |
2 | Once Smog divides into small clouds, use Echoes or move nearby boulders to make the clouds slam into each other. Just like in Oracle of Ages, Smog can't be damaged in this form, so you need to make the clouds all merge. Tip: Try to focus on only two clouds at a time. It's a good idea to make one cloud go clockwise and another counter-clockwise on adjacent walls before connecting them. You can also use Bind to stop or adjust a cloud's movement. |
3 | Smog will reform once all the clouds have combined, and can be damaged once more. Again, it's best to use ranged attacks against this monster. Repeat the first and second steps until Smog is finally defeated. |
