High-quality materials give the overall potion a higher efficacy, and these high-tier potions end up giving a lot of experience points that go towards potion and Alchemy Levels.
Players are thus encouraged to create as many high-quality potions as they can during each event phase to maximize their Alchemy Level gains.
Concocting Potions Event Guide
Once the player gets access to Operation Bonuses during the second phase of the event, they will be able to purchase upgrades to further optimize their potion shop.
One such upgrade is in the Alchemical Efficiency category, namely Listen to Reasoned Inquiry, which increases the Alchemy Level EXP you get per brewed potion, so make sure to snag this when you can!
Freda's Supplies Shop and Upgrades
Each cycle, new types of potions will come in demand, encouraging players to try out different ingredient combinations to meet the market demands.
Over the course of creating potions in the Concocting Potions mini-game, players will steadily increase their Alchemy Level, rewarding the player in more ways than one for experimenting with different potions.
Having a higher Alchemy Level means access to higher-quality materials for potion-making. Each of these materials are written down in the Operations Handbook with all of their efficacies and characteristics.

A higher level also allows players to purchase more cauldron space from Freda, allowing for more space in the cauldron for ingredients!

Alchemy Levels are an event mechanic as part of the Alchemical Ascension event, where players must cultivate and harvest different ingredients to use in potion making.
