Pokemon That Learn Max Lightning

Max Lightning is usable by all Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon who know at least one Electric-type damaging move. That move will be replaced with Max Lightning while the Pokemon is Dynamaxed.

In the case of Gigantamax Pokemon, they may not be able to learn this move if their Electric-type damaging moves are instead replaced by their signature G-Max Move.

Competitive Analysis

For offensive Pokemon, especially to Electric-type attackers, Max Lightning is an essential move in maintaining the upper hand in battles. Using this move in battle will spawn Electric Terrain in the field and can almost always disrupt various strategies.

Electric Terrain boosts all Electric-type attacks as long as the user is grounded. Not only can Max Lightning users deal damage, it also serves as a self-boost of these Pokemon!

Disrupt Your Opponent's Strategies

Using Max Lightning will replace any existing terrains in the field. This can disrupt Grassy Glide or Expanding Force strategies as their moves will become ineffective.

Additionally, with Electric Terrain up, Pokemon on the field cannot be put to sleep, so you can keep on pressuring your opponent!
