Criteria for Ranking

The following are the criteria to be met when ranking Pokemon for Tera Raids.

Tier Criteria
SS Tier SS Tier Pokemon have great offensive stats and movepools, are easy to use, and can tackle any Pokemon Raid just by itself and changing up a few moves.
S Tier S-tier builds are Pokemon that can take on the majority of raid bosses, regardless of their Tera Type, and can take on Tera Raids alone. Strategies can revolve around setting the Pokemon up with buffs to OHKO the raid boss with ease.
A Tier A-tier builds are Pokemon that can take on only a handful of raid bosses, but can still fend off against them alone regardless of the boss' Tera Type. Strategies still revolve around getting stat boosts to one-shot the raid Pokemon.
B Tier B-tier builds are Pokemon that are outclassed by S and A-tier builds but are still viable and easy to use in Tera Raids. Setups won't defeat the raid boss in a single turn, but they can still dish out a lot of damage.
C Tier C-tier Pokemon are built for a specific strategy and will only work with a select few other Pokemon. These Pokemon may not shine on their own, but will excel if teamed up with the right allies and may even outperform those in higher tiers.

Pokemon

Support Pokemon are a crucial part of and Tera Raid Team set-up. Generally optimal one-shot strategies to use against 6-Star and 7-Star Raid Bosses feature one Attacker and three Support Pokemon to power it up in as little time as possible, in order to quickly output maximum damage. This is especially effective in Stored Power Builds.

Prominent Support Pokemon include Grimmsnarl, Gardevoir, Umbreon, Qwilfish and Oranguru.

Support Pokemon will not be focused on attacking but will instead need to raise their defensive stats. You can get either Bold or Impish Nature to boost their Defense, or Calm or Careful Nature to boost their Special Defense. If your Pokemon doesn't have it, you can opt to change its Nature to better fit its role.

Pokemon SV The Indigo Disk DLC - Pecharunt Opened
With the release of the new Epilogue, players can now catch the leader of the Loyal Three, Pecharunt!

While not having the best offensive stats, it works well with its members by using Hex in tandem with their Toxic Chain to deal a good amount of damage.

Iron Hands Party (Best Choice)

Party Lineup
Iron Hands ImageIron Hands Koraidon ImageKoraidon Miraidon ImageMiraidon Umbreon ImageUmbreon
Main Weaknesses
Ghost Icon Fairy Icon Psychic Icon

Iron Hand's Belly Drum and Drain Punch moveset will let it deal massive damage with little effort. Umbreon can lower the opponent's defenses, while Koraidon and Miraidon's impressive stats, in combination with moves such as Screech and Metal Sound can take an offensive or suport roles depending on the situation. We recommend making Iron Hands hold an item that improves its Attack

How to Use

Turn 1
・ Miraidon uses either Reflect or Light Screen
・ Umbreon and Koraidon use Screech
・ Iron Hands uses Belly Drum

Turn 2
・ Miraidon uses Electro Drift
・ Use the Heal Up cheer for your team
・Koraidon uses Screech
・Umbreon uses Helping Hand
・Iron Hands uses Drain Punch

Use this battle strategy to set up Iron Hands quickly and safely. Light Screen and Reflect will help lessen any damage Iron Hands receives while it is vulnerable after a Belly Drum. Make sure to use Umbreon's Skill Swap to deal with enemies that have the Clear Body Ability or any other powerful Abilities.

Three Perrserkers and a Dialga

Held Item: Wide Lens
Dialga ImageDialga
Held Item: Choice Specs
Main Weaknesses
Ground Icon Fire Icon Electric Icon Water Icon Steel Icon

Perrserker's Steely Spirit will strengthen Dialga's Steel Beam allowing it to inflict massive damage with little set up. Make sure to make Dialga hold the Choice Specs item to improve Steel Beam's damage output.

How to Use

When the enemy is weak to Steel-type moves Turn 1
・ All Perrserkers use Metal Sound
・ Dialga uses Steel Beam
When Steel moves deal neutral damage Turn 1
・All Perrserkers use Metal Sound
・ Use the Go All Out! cheer to raise your team's damage.
Turn 2
・All Perrserkers use Helping Hand
・ Dialga uses Steel Beam

Using Zacian is Effective Against Physical Weak Pokemon

Perrserker ImagePerrserker ×3
Held Item: Wide Lens
Zacian (Crowned Sword) ImageZacian (Crowned Sword)
Held Item: Rusted Sword

If the Raid Pokemon is Specially Defensive, but has a lower Physical Defense like Blissey, using Zacian as your attacker will also work. Instead of using Metal Sound, the Perrserkers should then use Screech to lower the target's Defense, while Zacian attacks with Behemoth Blade.

Using 4 Perrserkers is Also Effective

Explanation Video

Perrserker can serve as a helpful Pokemon during Tera Raid Battles without the help of Magnezone. Just be sure that all Perrserkers have the Steely Spirit Hidden Ability, or they'll be dead weight!

Choose Pokemon That Deal Massive Damage in One Turn

Use Pokemon that can inflict lots of damage in one turn

Tera Raid Pokemon have defenses that allow them take a large of damage. As such we recommend using Pokemon can inflict a large amount of damage in one turn or, if possible use move that provide powerful buffs or debuffs.

Screech Lower's the target's Defense by two stages. The move's accuracy is 85%, so use with caution.
Metal Sound Lowers the target's Special Defense by 2 stages. The move's accuracy is 85%, so use with caution.
Helping Hand Increases the damage of an ally Pokemon's attack by 50%.
Taunt The opponent Pokemon can't use Status Moves.
Other Moves That Buff Attack or Special Attack Moves such as Swords Dance or Nasty Plot should also be considered

Maximize the Potential of Your Pokemon

Raise Your Pokemon to the Maximum level

Raising your Pokemon to level 100 as well taking part in Hyper Training will allow you maximize your Pokemon's battling potential. this will not only help you in Tera Raid Battles, but also completing the main story as well, so put in the extra effort to train and breed the best Pokemon.

When EV training Pokemon for Raid Battles, since Speed is not as important, placing stats into HP and Attack/ Special Attack is recommended.

How to Train and Breed Pokemon

Make Use of Cheers

Use Cheers to raise Attack, Defense, or Heal your party

Make sure to make use of Cheers during Tera Raid Battle to increase the Attack, Defense, and heal your Pokemon. Do note that cheering will take up one of your attack turns and you can only use 3 cheers for each Tera Raid Battle.

Arceus Stellar Tera build link is broken. Also, will you be updating the top tier list for each category?

52 Anonymous11 months

Suggestion: Could you make an option, to sort or search for every build, of a specific Tera Type? I would like to have a Physical and a Special build of every type, but it is getting a little tiresome, and confusing to check every single 'mon of the given type :) Lists could also be great 😊
