Genshin - New Area Dodoland
Map Period June 9, 2021 - July 21, 2021

The Golden Apple Archipelago first appeared as a limited-time area that hosted most of the Version 1.6 events, which lasted the whole patch. After 1.6 ended, features like the Waverider and the Maguu Kenki boss was made permanent in Version 2.0.

How to Unlock the 1.6 Archipelago

1.6 Archipelago Requirements

Unlock Requirements Reach Adventure Rank 21+
Complete Prologue: Act III
Complete Klee's Story Quest
Complete Journey to the Unknown

Several quests were required to unlock the Archipelago back in Version 1.6. The whole map also wasn't revealed in full, and players had to complete quests first to reveal the remaining islands submerged underwater.

Genshin Impact - Glimmering Beacon Route

Unlocking the whole map have the players navigating the fog by following Glimmering Beacons. This allowed access to the Teleport Waypoints found on the major islands.
