The Wayward Soul World Event is a World Event that can be encountered in Diablo 4 (D4). Read this guide to know more information about the Wayward Soul Event, where it occurs, and the rewards you can obtain!

Note: As of writing, event spawn times seem to be random, with an indefinite amount of time passing before the event respawns in the same area.

Interact With the Wayward Soul
Start the Wayward Soul Event by interacting with the Wayward Soul in the middle of the zone. As soon as the spirit starts talking, enemies will spawn around the area so do your best to swiftly defeat these mobs.
Defend the Wayward Soul from Enemy Spawns
The spirit will slowly walk from one point to another in the event zone, so make sure to always stay near him and get rid of the enemy spawns trying to harm him. The spirit also has a circular zone, and will stop moving if you're too far away. Stay close as much as possible and clear the mobs before they start attacking your companion.
Slay the Tormented Remnant
For the last encounter, a boss called Tormented Remnant will appear beside the spirit and defeating it completes the event.
Wayward Soul Completion Rewards
Murmuring Obols, Gold, and Other Items
Upon opening the chest, players will be rewarded with rare items, crafting materials, gems, gold, and Murmuring Obols.
