What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Can buff his allies' Res stat ・Synergistic stat spread and special skill ・Rather low Atk stat |
Might: 14 Range: 2 Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). Effective against flying foes. If foe’s Def ≥ foe’s Res+5, deals +7 damage. |
Cooldown Count = 3 Boosts damage dealt by 50% of unit’s Res. |

If you really like Niles or you want to make them stronger, you may want to buy a FEH pass and get the Resplendent Attire.
Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |

Atk (20) | ★★★★☆ | |
Spd (8) | ★★★★★ | |
Def (4) | ★☆☆☆☆ | |
Res (8) | ★★★★☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Niles are +Spd and -Def. A higher Spd stat allows Niles to prevent follow-up attacks against her and helps her make follow-up attacks on her own. This boosts both his offensive and survivability capabilities. His low Def is of less importance, so it is safe to take Def as a bane. Not to mention that his special effect refine also relies on his Spd. This further justifies our recommendation in getting a +Spd IV for Niles.

A budget friendly build for Niles that maximizes his Atk/Spd stats. By maximizing his Atk/Spd, he can make good use of the flat damage provided by Nile's Bow. It also synergizes well with his spec. eff. refine which is a Flashing Blade effect. Said effect requires Niles to have decent Spd levels to run effectively.

This maximizes Niles' Res stat for him to easily deal with magic foes. Cancel Affinity 3 is taken to deal with Raven tome users. If you can afford it, take the special effect refine of his weapon.

SP: 400 | |
Might: 14 Range: 2 HP: Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). Effective against flying foes. If foe’s Def ≥ foe’s Res+5, deals +7 damage. If unit’s Spd > foe’s Spd, grants Special cooldown charge +1 per unit’s attack. (Only highest value applied. Does not stack.) :500 :200 |
|
It grants the same effect as Flashing Blade 3. This is perfect for Niles as his regular attacks do not dish out that much damage. He heavily relies on his special attack to deal significant amounts of damage so boosting his ability to activate his special is perfect for him. It allows Niles to take advantage of his decent Spd stat.
Spd is a great stat to stack on Niles. Not only does it allow for more activations of Niles's Bow, but it also makes way for more follow-up atacks that speed up activating Iceberg even more.
Killer Bow+ can be evolved into
Slaying Bow+
through the Weapon Refinery. |
---|
One of Nile's weapons can be evolved into a Slaying Bow+ and you can certainly go through this route. However, Niles's Bow is superior.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Niles is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Niles's Bow gives him +7 pure damage when a foe's Def is significantly higher than their Res. This allows him to do a decent chunk of damage even on foes with high Def. It also has a special effect refine that grants him the effects of Flashing Blade 3! You can read more about Niles' weapon in the weapon refine section.
Warding Blow 3 grants +6 Res to Niles when attacked and Spur Res 3 grants adjacent allies +4 Res during combat. Both these skills ensure that your team will have better chances against magic based enemies.
Iceberg, Niles' special, has a long cooldown but it hits very hard as it adds 50% of Niles' Res to his damage. This it fitting for him since he already has high Res levels. This means that you can stack a ton of Res into Niles, building his bulk, but also be able to dish-out tons of damage!
Try to activate it in the enemy phase as Warding Blow 3 will grant him an additional +6 Res upon being attacked by the enemy. This is only ideal if the enemies are magical untis as Niles' physical bulk is very low.
Niles heavily relies on Iceberg and Niles's Bow's effects to deal damage instead of directly relying on Atk and Spd. This might be less advantageous for him as he might not be able to dish out damage reliably. Get to know his skill effects better and work around his strengths to use him effectively!
Niles' Def only sits at 17 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for physical to take him out. Be mindful of Niles' positioning in relation to physical units that can easily take him out.

Here you are. And here I am! Aren’t we a pair. I must confess that I’ve grown after each of your visits—really and truly, I have! I must also say that when I first met you, Summoner, I thought you were a fussy bit of butter. I served you, but not happily. But now! Oh, what a difference! I long to always be with you. I wonder, have you only indulged your servant Niles? Or are we becoming friends now? I know some see me as unsavory. To them I say, variety is the spice of life! But, what say you? Eh? You trust me? How curious. Someone dear to me once said the very same thing. So, you and I will be friends through thick and thin. And, you know me... I always delight my friends. |
