How to Unlock Questioning the Local Cats
Talk to the Elderly Man in Kakariko Village
Go to the center of Kakariko Village and speak with the Elderly Man standing near the well.
The Questioning the Local Cats Side Quest becomes available after clearing Still Missing.

Find the Elderly Man's Cat
| How to Complete | |

| 1 |  You'll need Cat Clothes to question cats. You can get Cat Clothes by talking to the woman in front of the Kakariko Village Shop. She'll offer you the Cat Clothes in exchange for finding her secret stash, which is hidden beneath where a cat is sitting. |
| 2 |  Head to the northeast part of Kakariko Village, where you'll see an orange and white tabby cat sitting by the windmill. Summon a Grilled Fish Echo or Meat Echo beside the cat to make it move away from the digging spot. ▶︎ Deliver the Grilled Fish Side Quest |
| 3 |  Once the cat is out of the way, summon a Holmill Echo on the digging spot to uncover the Woman's secret stash. She'll reward you the Cat Clothes for helping her. |
| 4 |  Equip the Cat Clothes to start talking to cats. The white cat on the windmill to the left of the gravestones knows where the Elderly Man's cat is. To reach the cat, summon an Echo that provides verticality, such as a Platboom or a stacked Water Block. ▶︎ How to Climb Cliffs and Scale Walls |
| 5 |  Head east out of Kakariko Village and follow the road. The Elderly Man's cat will be perched atop a tree near the cave. Use a similar Echo to reach and speak to the calico cat. |
| 6 | After talking to the calico cat, return to the Elderly Man to complete the quest. |

You'll receive 10 Refreshing Grapes as a reward for this quest, an ingredient used to make Smoothies.
