You can unlock Water Imp's Conjecture by heading straight to the Fontaine Fishing Association, located northeast of the Court of Fontaine! This also starts the Thelxie's Fantastic Adventures 4.2 Flagship Event!

How to Unlock Water Imp's Conjecture

Complete the Prerequisites

Quest Unlock Requirements
	Prologue: Act 3 Song of the Dragon and Freedom
	Chapter 4: Act 5 Masquerade of the Guilty

To unlock Water Imp's Conjecture, you must have first reached AR 20 and above, and completed Song of the Dragon and Freedom Archon Quest! To fully enjoy the story, you must have also finished the Masquerade of the Guilty Archon Quest!

Water Imp's Conjecture Walkthrough

Go to the Fontaine Fishing Association

Go to the Fontaine Fishing Association, and talk to Delaroche. She then tells you about the mysterious disappearance of a fishing spot at Erinnyes, and how it may be caused by Water Imps.

Investigate the footprints on the shore

Once you've arrived at the spot, investigate the waters where the fish has disappeared from, then investigate the footprints on the shore. After a few while, Freminet surfaces out of the water, spooking Paimon in the process!

Go to Freminet's camp

After having some brief catching up with Freminet, and discussing your agendas with each other, go to Freminet's camp, and talk to Thelxie.

Talk to Thelxie

To talk to Thelxie, just proceed as usual with your conversation with Freminet. Thelxie will casually chime in for a response, each time you ask him something, or when Freminet turns his attention to his friend-shaped pal!

Test the motherboard

After talking to Thelxie and discussing about Pers, test the motherboard, and try to debug it! You'll have to simply drag the circuit from Thelxie's original position, all the way to to the end point!

Discuss with Freminet

Once you've tested and debugged the motherboard, discuss with Freminet what task to do next. Then, go to the body of water Freminet mentioned to get started with the Echoing Conch puzzle!

Use the Echoing Conch

To use the Echoing Conch, simply interact with it once to have it resonate, and reveal certain locations. These locations are where you should look for weapon materials that you'll use to tinker on Thelxie!

Return to the camp

Once your underwater task is sorted out, return to the camp, where you'll see Freminet's employer, Zuria Destree.

Talk to Zuria about her son and the Loneliness Syndrome, and what Freminet is supposed to do with the clockwork penguin. Then, talk to Freminet about the potential danger of the task. Afterwards, another series of morse codes will be shown!
