Where does it say that? I thought it only does Pyro damage not give a whole new shield each hit
Also, don't forget that for his Q creates a new barrier at every normal attack, even if the normal attack is done by others in the party, and even if it didn't damage enemy. (It's a bit like Xingqiu).

Question how does the shield scale when the shield duration is 8s and the CD is 15s so only the burst and skill tgt can scale the shield so basically I start with shield skill then change to burst when almost Cs duration then shield skill again??

True. So far the best pieces should be 2 piece of milelith and 2 piece of emblems. But to me, I think I will go with 4 piece of noblesse. With long CD, he can only be used for quick swap as a support.
4 piece millieth doesn't work since his elemental skill only hits once so it's useless for him
He works very very well with 4 pieces of crimson witch and dragons and too.
why? isnt 4 piece tenacity of millelith better, or he have a serious problem with ER?

who tf said kaeya and xiangling are bad? they're really good supports/sub dps and even amber can have some use.
I mean yes...but in terms of utility Xiangling cant give shield but Thoma can so of person just wants protection and pyro application, he fits there but Xiangling won't, so a char doesn't have to beat other to be better, they can be good if u build them right!
To anyone who want to build tohma I recommend using 2 piece tenacity of millelith and 2 piece emblem
Thoma will have to be really good to make anyone using Xiangling correctly turn their heads. His kit sounds good and all, but the question is scaling. Mihoyo never gives us the damn numbers that actually matter until the character is already out and ready to either wow or disappoint everyone in person. If Thoma's scaling isn't good enough, people are just going to slap some severed fate artifacts on Xiangling and carry on using her since her burst has always been great.
