Effect | This is a Fighting-type attack Dynamax Pokémon use. This raises ally Pokémon's Attack stats. |
Max Knuckle is usable by all Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon who know at least one Fighting-type damaging move. That move will be replaced with Max Knuckle while the Pokemon is Dynamaxed.
In the case of Gigantamax Pokemon, they may not be able to learn this move if their Fighting-type damaging moves are instead replaced by their signature G-Max Move.
With the introduction of Dynamax, Fighting-type moves got an extra boost in terms of utility with Max Knuckle. This move boosts your Pokemon's attack stat in addition to dealing damage.
A lot of non-Fighting Pokemon were already running Close Combat or Super Power as their filler move. This made Max Knuckle arguably the strongest and most prevalent Max move next to Max Airstream.
Max Knuckle's Power, Category and PP are determined by its Base Move. Its Category and PP will match that of the Base Move, while the Power is determined according to the table below.
