Midas River

Super Mario RPG - Midas River Remake

The Midas River is a two part minigame where you have to collect as many coins as possible while you're being swept by the Midas River current. The first part is swimming down through a waterfall, while the second part is jumping on barrels on the river.

The rewards for this minigame are Frog Coins exchanged with the coins that you collected during your run; collecting more coins in a single run will entitle you to better exchange rates from coins to Frog Coins.

Super Mario RPG Remake - Hit 1 Goomba at a Time

Goomba Thumping is a minigame where you have to jump on many Goombas' heads as much as you can to earn points. This can be accessed from the Pipe Vault at the cost of 10 Coins a game.

Yoshi Racing (Mushroom Derby)

Super Mario RPG Remake - Mushroom Derby
Yoshi Racing, also known as Mushroom Derby, is a race against other Yoshis to the finish line.

Mushroom Derby can be accessed after unlocking Yo'ster Isle. Once in the Yo'ster Isle entrance with a save point, enter the area at the bottom-left of the pipe and look for the Green Yoshi. Talk to this Yoshi to ride on his back. He is needed to participate in the Yoshi Race (Mushroom Derby).

Yoshi will ask you to talk to the other Yoshi for help. Make sure you do so, as some of the Yoshi you talk to will give you Yoshi Cookies for the race. In order to start the Yoshi Race, you will need Yoshi Cookies to wager with Boshi.

Moleville Mountain (Mine Car)

Super Mario RPG - Mine Car

Mine Car is a minigame playable in Moleville Mountain where you steer a minecart on tracks until you reach the end of the track. To play it, you need to either pay 10 or 30 coins.

Paying 10 coins gives no rewards and is just for playing the minigame for fun. Paying 30 coins means you will bet those coins, and you need to beat your previous record to receive the reward.

Beetle Mania

Super Mario RPG - Beetle Mania Remake
Beetle Mania is a top-down shooter where you shoot red Koopa shells to earn points. The minigame can be accessed from the main menu after rescuing Peach from Marrymore, then purchasing Beetle Mania from the Mushroom Kingdom Inn for 500 Coins.

The Beetle Mania minigame is optional to the story and can be accessed anytime after fulfilling its unlock conditions. It is treated like a seperate game to play for fun, since it yields no rewards relevant to the game's overworld when completed.

Yoshi Egg (Wheeere's Yoshi?!)

Super Mario RPG - Yoshi Minigame Right Answer

You can play the Wheeere's Yoshi?! minigame at the end of a battle if you get a Lucky Bonus Flower during the battle. There are three ways of getting a Lucky Bonus Flower: defeating certain enemies that drop them, defeating an enemy with a timed hit using the Lucky Hammer, and using the Lucky Jewel item.

In this game, Yoshi will hide in one of three eggs, then the eggs will move around. You have to keep track of where Yoshi is and select it to get your reward.

If you win this minigame, only one of two outcomes will be applied: double EXP or double coins.

Not guessing Yoshi right can either lead to preserving your EXP and coins, or losing it all.

Booster Hill / Beetle Chase

Super Mario RPG Remake - Booster Hill

Booster Hill is a minigame that lets you run up Booster Hill and jump on barrels to speed up. It is a one-time minigame that can be played after defeating Knife Guy and Grate Guy.

Booster Hill Gets Replaced by Beetle Chase Later On

Super Mario RPG Remake - Beetle Chase
After you play the minigame of chasing Booster carrying Peach once, you won't be able to play it anymore. It gets replaced by the Beetle Chase minigame instead.

You need to buy a Beetle Box at Seaside Town every time you want to play this minigame.

Booster Hill Rewards

In the Booster Chase minigame, whenever you manage touch Peach, she'll give you a Flower, which gives you 1 max FP.

It's a good idea to save before attempting this one-time minigame, allowing you to reset and attempt to get as much Flowers as you can. It's possible to get more than 10 Flowers, which is a nice bonus to your party's max FP!

Once you've reached the halfway point of Booster Tower, you will get into a minigame where you have to interact with the Booster's family portraits from oldest to youngest. The answer can be found upon entering the tower on the second floor of the entrance.

Once you complete the puzzle, you'll be rewarded with the Elder Key, to be used for the door beside the portraits. The Chain Chomp weapon is located behind this door.

Sky Bridge

Super Mario RPG Remake - Cross the Bridge with a Steady Pace

The Sky Bridge minigame can be played at Land's End. It involves crossing a floating bridge while avoiding Bullet Bills and the gaps. There are three courses, each netting different rewards: Normal, Special, and Expert.

Valuable rewards include Coins and Frog Coins with the option to multiply earnings with each pass of the course. You can win as much as 4 Frog Coins, making this game a good option for farming such rewards.

The Paratroopa Cliff Scale minigame can be played at Land's End. It involves scaling a cliff in the shortest record time by jumping on Paratroopas.

Super Mario RPG Remake - Jump on Tadpoles

At Melody Bay, songs can be played for Toadofsky by jumping on the tadpoles in the water. You'll be able to learn songs as you progress through certain points in the game; playing them for Toadofsky will make him give you rewards.

In Belome Temple, you can get your fortune told, and will receive something depending on the order you hit the statues. There are six possible orders to hitting the statues: in four of the orders, you can get a reward, but in two of the orders you'll get into a battle with some enemies instead.

In the other Puzzle Course, the first minigame is the Coin Collecting Puzzle. There's a chest with 21 coins between you and Dr. Topper, and you have to take turns taking coins out of it. During your turns, you can take 1-4 coins out of the chest. The one who gets the 21st coin in the chest loses.

In the next room, you'll find a bunch of buttons arranged in a 4x4 grid, and your goal is to have them all pressed simultaneously. The way the buttons work is that if you press one, all adjacent unpressed buttons will be pressed, and all unpressed buttons will be pressed.
